To those still figuring out how to communicate:
it's a long and tedious journey of learning to express oneself, regardless of your age.

Here is the Earth: our planet as we know it. Earth inhabits our friends, peers, parents, brothers, teachers, pets, etc. Now that we've established Earth, let us zoom in a little more to look at our beautiful planet.

Now, this patch of green on the right could be anywhere in the world, but we are zooming in to a town in the middle of California, to visit some third graders that are about to learn a valuable lesson.

Ah.. nothing more wholesome than
children playing on the playground.
Just sheer unadulterated fun.
It makes you miss childhood, you know?

The air was warm, but not scorching on this May afternoon. Avery, Molly, Lucas, Reed, and Louise were all thinking of a game to play together during recess. "Let's play capture the flag!" exclaimed Louise. "We don't have any of the supplies. No flag, no goals, and no way to divide the field! responded Avery. The group sat and pondered their next decision for minutes.

Suddenly, Reed asks the group,
"What about Duck, Duck, Goose?"
There is an intense silence amongst the four as they evaluate Reed's suggestion.
"Yes!" says Molly.
"I'd love to!" exclaims Louise.
"Okay, that sounds like fun," responds Lucas.
"Sure, I guess I will play," says Avery.
The five of them proceed to set themselves up on the field content to have finally cured their boredom.

As they sat down in a circle, Reed
asked one of the most critical
questions to third graders.
"Who wants to go first?"
Everyone jumped up.
Reed almost didn't finish his
sentence before Avery started
yelling the loudest.
"I WANT TO GO! LET ME BE
FIRST!" shouted Avery.
Louise followed with just as much if not more enthusiasm. "PLEASE REED!"
Of course Molly wanted to start as well. But Lucas really didn't have an opinion. Lucas was just happy to be here.
Between the temperature increasing as they sat more in the sun and the fact that all of them wanted to be first, the game started off on a hostile note as Reed picked Lucas.

Lucas, shocked that Reed picked him, got up, and started the well-anticipated Duck, Duck, Goose game.
"Duck..." touching Avery's hair.
"Duck..." tapping Louise's head.
"GOOSE!" he yells as he slaps Reed's head.
The boys cause an uproar of laughter as they chase each other around the circle.
On the other hand, you can see that
Avery and Molly are losing their
patience. "No one is listening to us!"
shouts the two.
With a tearful eye, Louise adds, " No one
is listening to ME."
No one was listening to each other,
everyone was yelling; it was not a fun
recess for any of them.
They all started to notice that their hands and feet were tingling as they opened their mouths and closed their ears more and more. The moment Avery opened her mouth, POOF, Avery was not Avery anymore. Avery was a goose. And it wasn't just Avery. It was all five of them. They all transformed into a flock of geese!

Honk! says, Avery
"Honk!" replies Louise
"Honk!" responds Reed and Lucas
"Honk Honk" replies Molly.
