Once upon a time there was a girl named Nessa. She lived in a small town in Norway - Flam. It was a charming place full of kind people. As a Norwegian, Nessa had blond hair, blue eyes and a fair skin. In her village she was known as a friendly and brave girl with love for gold jewellery. Unfortunately, because her family was big and poor, she couldn't wear it often. As the youngest in the family, Nessa was a curious girl, who loved to listen to her siblings' stories about magical creatures. Her favourite one was about leprechauns, rainbows and pots of gold. So, everytime she saw a rainbow, she went looking for a pot of gold at its end. She never succeeded to find it, until one special day...

One day, bored Nessa was sitting near the window, waiting for the rain to stop. Suddenly, she saw a rainbow, so she ran out of her house wearing her gold jewellery. When she reached the meadow with soaking wet shoes,  all of a sudden she saw tinkling in the distance. So she ran that way. What she found there, was a pot of gold. Happily, she took one of the coins in her hand to look at it closer. And then, she found herself in an unknown place. At first, Nessa was frightened, but she quickly pulled herself together and decided to look for help.

Soon Nessa realised she was magically teleported to Ireland. After a long walk, she finally found one of the lakes of Killarney. When she came closer, suddenly a head of a Mermaid surfaced from the water. The Mermaid called her and introduced herself as Merrow. "What are you doing here in Ireland?" the Mermaid asked. Nessa told her about what had happened and that she's looking for help to go back home. After a moment of thought, Merrow said: "I can help you only if you bring me a daisy." Nessa happily started to look for the flower.

Many hours later, the poor girl didn't find the precious flower, but what she found out was that she had lost her golden bracelet. Heartbroken, she continued to search for the daisy, as coming back home was more important than her jewellery. Sobbing, Nessa kept on combing through the green meadow until something flew right in front of her teary eyes. At first, she thought is was a fly, but then the creature started talking. At this point, the girl realised it was a Fairy. Dumbfounded, she kept on glaring at her and noticed something shiny in her tiny hands. "You little stealer! You stole my bracelet!" Nessa started yelling at the Fairy. "No, that's not true! I found your golden bracelet in the grass and I wanted to give it back to you. I didn't steal it!" the creature began to explain herself. "Oh, I'm so sorry that I yelled at you. I'm very glad that you brought it back to me" Nessa apologized. 

The Fairy smiled and said "No problem. My name is Morgana by the way. What's yours?" "My name is Nessa, nice to meet you" the girl answered. Then, when calmed down, Nessa told her her story of getting there and that she'd met Merrow, who had offered her help. On hearing that, Morgana said "Oh, I'm sorry to say that, but you propably were fooled. You should never trust Irish mermaids!" But seeing the girl devastated, the Fairy comforted her and proposed her own help. From now on Morgana accompanied her. They walked through meadows covered in clovers, saw forests and colorful rainbows in the sky. At some point, they even spotted an old castle on the hill. Morgana explained it was the famous Malahide Castle. She also told Nessa that it had been the Leprechaun who teleported her there.

Finally, following one of the rainbows, they reached the cliffs of Moher. There, they prepared themselves for the meeting with the Leprechaun, hoping he would appear soon. Their plan was to craw a straw puppet resembling Nessa and equip it with her gold jewellery. The main component - hay - was taken from a nearby cow and the puppet was placed in the middle of an emerald meadow. Now, they waited. When the sun started to set and the sky was covered in orange light, the anticipated guest appeared. Lured by the gold, the Leprechaun started to draw closer to the puppet.

And then they cought him! Nessa demanded "Send me back home to Norway!". The Leprechaun agreed, but then Nessa added "And you should make amends to me for bringing me here. Give me your treasure!". The Leprechaun suddenly started to negotiate "Why the whole?! I will give you just some of my treasure. That should be enough". But the girl stuck to her demands. Reluctantly, he did what she wanted and suddenly Nessa woke up in her bed with a pot of gold in her hands. Overjoyed she run to her mother and gave her the gold.

From that day on Nessa's family wasn't so poor and her mother was able to spend more time with her kids. Thanks to braveness and perseverance of Nessa's, they all lived happily ever after.
