Hello, I'm Oya. I am a student at Atatürk Secondary School. That day, I left home to go to school at exactly 9:00 am, as usual, but I was not aware that that day would be different from other days for me.

Uncle Ahmet was just opening his shop, people were waiting for the bus at the bus stop. I crossed the street and headed towards the school. When I put my hand in my pocket, I realized that there was something in my pocket.

When I took my hand out of my pocket, I saw the packaging of the chocolate I ate yesterday and the movie ticket I went to with my friends. I took them out of my pocket and threw     them on the ground carelessly. I continued on my way as if nothing had happened.

When I arrived at the school, there was half an hour before the class started. Since I didn't have my breakfast at home, I bought toast and juice from the canteen. I sat on the bench in the garden and had my breakfast. Suddenly,when the bell rang,I threw  my  juice box on the  floor and  ran  to  the  classroom.

Our teacher came and immediately turned to the blackboard and opened a video for us. We were all silent while watching this video. The video was about how the garbage thrown into the nature harmed living things and their habitats.

The part where I saw a piece of gum that was thrown on the ground stuck to a bird's beak and as a result the bird died of starvation because it could not use its beak was very sad
