Many, many years ago, no one know when or where, someone made a bag for his daughter. He decorated it with flowers because she liked spring, and made it big to fit all her shopping. The bag was so beautiful that a witch was jealous of it and stole it. The witch went to buy her magic potions but there were so many that they did not fit in the bag. Then she took her magic stick and said “I command you to fit everything!" So the bag became a magic bag that could hold everything. But whatever she put in it was lost .. Where to find what you want in “everything”? The witch realized that she had made a mistake in her spell and she decided that she didn’t want the bag any more. So she left it in the forest. Mary Poppins found her there and took it. She knew how to search and she lost nothing. And since then Mary and the bag became inseparable. Can you continue the story?

13th Kindergarten of Katerini-Stella

1st kindergarten Rethymno, Crete

Mary Poppins took great care of her bag. She believed that she would find it very useful in the future, to help her friends and children. One day she was walking outside a kindergarten and heard voices and cries. She was worried and stopped to take a look. So she saw some children, boys and girls in the yard, arguing over a toy and shouting. Maria was crying and said: "It's mine". And George replied: "No, it's mine, I got it first!". Eleni was pulling Maria by the sleeve and Kostas on his nerves gave a strong push to Anna. Klio was so scared that she started crying and the other children followed her… "What a mess my god, for a game", thought Mary Poppins. "I need to find a way to help the kids calm down and share the toy," she thought. She took out the magic whistle that played only sweet melodies! "One whistle, children please put the toy on the ground!" said Mary Poppins. "Done!" "Two whistles, we all become friends." "Done!" "Three whistles, three children come and  play with the toy, then in turns follow the rest." "Done!" So only happy voices could be heard in the kindergarten!

7th Kindergarten of Katerini- Evi

Mary Poppins went to another school and saw that a student wore glasses because he could not see well. The other children were making fun of him and he was very sad. The next day he did not want to go to school. Mary Poppins took a branch from the tree of kindness out of her magic bag and told them the story. Her own branch had no leaves at all. He asked the children to say kind words to their classmate who was very sad. And then the children said "sorry we made you sad, sorry we made fun of you. You are very nice with the glasses." And immediately the branch took out a lot of colored leaves. "Well done kids" said Mary Poppins and their classmate forgave them and they all played together. Because they were all different but they all became friends

2nd kindergarten of Aliartos-Maria

The next morning Mary Poppins decided to go for a walk in the park. There he saw a child playing alone with his ball. She approached him and asked  why he did not go to his school. The boy replied that he did not like school and preferred to play. Then Mary Poppins  took the book with Poly's Story the small polar bear out of her bag and read it to the boy! Explain to the boy how many useful lessons the children learn in school. The boy thought about it and decided that he would go to school and play in the afternoon! He gave his word to Mary Poppins and she said goodbye with a kiss.

2nd kindergarten of Aliartos-Marina 

The next afternoon as Marie Poppins flew with her magic umbrella high in the sky, she saw a little boy sitting alone on the bench and watching the other children play and have fun on the playground. She didn't waste time, she went and asked the little boy why he was not playing with them. The little boy replied that he did not know the children and did not know what to say to them. Then Mary Poppins told him a sweet story "Be a friend" and the little boy got courage and ideas. Immediately he ran to the children who were playing a ball, to suggest them to play a new game together! The children were excited, they even preferred Mary to play with them and they all had a wonderful time together!

The next morning, Mary Poppins arrived in a big garden and she saw a sad child. 

Mary Poppins took a little car out of her bag and gave it to him, but the child was still sad.

The child said "Thanks, but I'm sad because I lost my best friend: I don't know where he is!" 

Mary Poppins opened her magic umbrella and took the child with her. From the top of the sky, they saw the missing friend: he was hiding behind a tree! 

The friends found each other and said "Thanks Mary Poppins!"

12th Kindergarten of Glyfada-Vasiliki & Eleni

Co-located kindergarten "ATHANASIA KYREZI", Nea Makri. 

Mary Poppins however could not forget about the flood. She was wondering what could have caused it and how she could possibly prevent it from ever happening again. Mary decided to do some research but the results she got were really discouraging. The earth is dealing with a lot of environmental problems and one of them is the misuse of water. So, why not trying to teach the children some simple and doable ways to save water? She immediately took action and designed three simple tasks. First, leakproof all the taps in our homes. Secondly, install automatic watering systems and last install water tanks to save water.

Now, all her plans were set and she was ready for action. She would convey the message: “Do not waste  water, we cannot live without it!”

 12th kindergarten of Glyfada  - Tania 

During her long journey with her magic bag, Mary Poppins flew over Ukraine. The children there were very upset, because their country was at war.

They did not want to read fairy tales, but asked Mary Poppins to use one of the fairy tale heroes in her magic bag to make war…disappear.

So Jack's mom, the mom of the little dragon took action! She stepped out of the fairy tale to help the children.

He started walking among the bombed houses, causing terror to the enemies, who thought an earthquake was happening. With her angry look and fiery breath she drove away the war and brought peace to the country again. 

The children were so much happy ever since...

She decided to send a letter to the children in kindergarten schools of Italy, Greece and Turkey.

“Dear children,

Unfortunately the witch has stolen all my stories and my toys. I would be so grateful if you could write my stories again cause I think you are the best writers of all time!!!

It would be of great help if you could be willing to do this for me. I hope I am not asking you too much. I couldn’t thank you enough.

Mary Poppins”

After receiving the letter the children were excited to help Mary Poppins. They decided to write "The story of Jack",  "The tree of kindness", "It's ok to be different", “Polly, the Little Polar Bear - What is school?”, "Be A friend" and  "The oak’s 4 friends". 

The children sent a little note to Mary Poppins letting  her know that she could visit once a month each kindergarten school  and take one story at a time.
