The United Kingdom is composed of 4 countries: England, Wales, Scotland and Norther Ireland. The UNION JACK is the national flag of United Kingdom.

Big Ben is the name of the bell inside the famous clock tower. The Palace of Westminster, better known as the Houses of Parliament, it's the place where laws are made.

Trafalgar Square is a large square with two fountains. There is the statue of Lord Nelson on a tall column.

Buckingham Palace is the official home of royal family. When Queen Elisabeth II is here, the flag flies on the top of palace. It has got 775 rooms and 78 bathrooms. Wow!

Tower of London was a fortress and a prison for important people on the river Thames. Nowadays it's a museum where you can see the jewels of the Crown. 

The Changing of Queen's Guard ceremony takes place in front of Buckingham Palace at 11 o' clock. 

The Coldstream Guard is the oldest regiment in the British Army, its principal role is the protection of the Monarchy. 

Tower bridge is a suspension bridge on the river Thames. It opens when ships go through it. It's 244 meters long. It's very famous.

St. Paul's Cathedral is the second largest cathedral in the world. It was designed in English Baroque. It has got a beautiful and very big dome.

The London Eye is a giant wheel also known as the Millennium Wheel. It's 135 meters tall and it has got 32 capsules with a great view of the city.

You can visit London by bus with the famous Double Decker: it's the typical English bus, it's red and it has got two levels, so passengers can sit upstairs and downstairs.

You can visit this wonderful city also by taxi. They are the Black Cab and they are famous all over the world.

You can visit the city also by the Tube, the famous London underground. 

It is the oldest transport system of its kind in the world. 

Piccadilly Circus is a very famous square. There's a fountain with the statue of Eros. It is close to major shopping and entertainment areas. It's a busy meeting place and a tourist attraction.
