There once was a Native American tribe called the
Lakota's nation. One summer the Lakota's went
through a time period of starvation. During that
summer two brave men decided to wake up early in the
morning to head out to look for food for the community.

The two male hunters searched for hours with
no success of finding food for the families. but
on their adventure, while walking up a hill,
they spotted a beautiful women on the top of
the hill.

As they got closer to the woman, they noticed she was a
scared woman. The one man tried to shake her hand,
and she banished him into dust!
This made the other man very nervous, and hesitant to
make any sudden movement. But then the White buffalo
woman spoke to the man and said,
Young man, tell your head chief to prepare his
community for my arrival.
The man hopped on to his horse, and quickly got home
and told his chief and the community the news of the
woman who was to approach them soon.

So then the community quickly prepared for the arrival
of the White Buffalo Woman. The families of the Lakota
Nation built a medicine lodge large enough for the whole
community to sit into, so they could use it when she
came.
After the meeting with the hunter, the Woman arrived to
the Lakota nation four days later and directed the whole
tribe into the medicine lodge, so she could talk to the
community as a whole.

She had brought with her scared gifts for the community
and she was speaking to them about culture and
keeping faith with the scared people.
The scared gifts she brought to them were a scared
pipe, which lit up on fire to symbolize generations to
come.
She explained to the community the importance of
every individual, in males, females and children.
Finally the White Buffalo Women explained she would
return in the next generations, bringing all the lands to
peace.
