One upon a time, there lived a young man around 19 years old, who was very tall and skinny, who also had yellow, dirty hair. He lived on a small farm in France, with his evil Step-Father and step-brothers. They were very cruel to him and would make him do all the chores in the house. This young boy's name was Cinder. It's not his real name, they call him this because he usually has cinders on his face when he cleans the fire.

Hello?!
“Cinder! Come and give me my breakfast!” His step-father yelled out.
“Coming Father” Cinder replied back. He grabbed a tray of french-toast and put a glass of milk next to the plate and walked up the stairs to his step-fathers room. Cinder opened the door and set the tray of food on a table.
“Take these diary clothes with you, on your way out” His father said. Cinder grabbed the basket of clothes and went down the stairs. As Cinder reached the last step, there was a knock at the front door.

Everyone must Come!!!
“Coming!” Cinder said. He opened the door and saw the duke of the castle right in front of his own eyes!
The duke cleared his throat and then said, “I have a message! The princess is having a ball and all men must attend. She is looking for a new prince! So please come.” After he was finished talking, he gave a sealed envelope to Cinder with a big, red stamp with a crown indented in the middle. Cinder waved goodbye and closed the door.

Who was that?!?!?!

“Who was that?” Cinder’s step-father asked. He was now at the top of the stairs, glaring at Cinder, with his dark, black, soulless eyes.
“It was just the duke of the castle.” Cinder replied with his head down trying not to look into hi step-fathers eyes.
“The Duke?! What was he saying to you?!” His step-brother Azer asked, coming up from behind his father.
“He told me that Princess Cinderella is having a ball and all men must attend, because she is choosing a prince! All the details are in this envelope he gave me.” His other step-brother Derick, snatched the envelope from Cinder's hand. Derick ran up the stairs and handed the envelope to his father.
“Oh, yes.” Cinder’s father said. “We shall go to the ball!” He exclaimed. Cinder's brothers were jabbering who would get the girl. Cinder gasped.

Clean my room!
Make me breakfast!!
“That means, I could go too!” His brothers stopped talking and looked at Cinder with a bit of confusion on their faces. Then they started to laugh.
“You can’t go to the ball!” Azer exclaimed.
“Ya, you're too dirty and scrawny.” Derrick blurted out.
“Now boys,” Step-fathered is now in between the two siblings. “Cinder can go to the ball, if he finishes his chores.” The brothers looked at each other and smirked at each other.
“If he finishes his chores.” They said in unison. In that one moment both brothers started to shout orders at Cinder. They knew if they give him a bunch of chores he would never finish and he won’t be able to go to the ball. Cinder knew this too.

The time to go to the ball was nigh. A black, tall, carriage came to pick up Cinders' family. The Coachmen came and opened the door for his family. The Coachmen closed the door and they left in the dead of night. Cinder was watching from a window viewing the scene. He went outside to his favorite spot whenever he was sad, an old wishing well. Cinder sat down and buried his face into his hands. In that exact moment a hand touched Cinder’s back, comfortably.

“Oh dear, it’s ok.” A voice said, very sweetly and softly.
Cinder looked up and saw an older woman in a baby, blue cloak. Her cheeks were plump and were a rosy pink, bringing warmth when you look at her.
“Who are you?” Cinder asked.
“Why,” The woman began. “I’m your Fairy Godmother. And I was sent here to help you with whatever problem you have.” She looked at Cinder with calm, and gentle eyes.
“Well, I want to go to the ball but I didn’t finish my chores so I can’t go. And even if I could go, I don’t have anything fancy or clean for that matter.”
“Well, I can help you there!” She pulled out a long, white wand from her sleeves.

“Bibide Bobide boo!” She pointed the wand at Cinder and a suit appeared. Cinder was now wearing a beige top and gold tassels on his shoulders, with red pants and brown boots.
“And one extra thing” She pointed the wand back at Cinder and gave him a belt that goes around his stomach with a diamond in the front.
“Perfect!”
“Oh thank you so much Fairy Godmother!”
“Oh Child, you are very so welcome. This spell lasts for however long you need to have the spell. So don’t worry if you need to run home or anything.”
“You should come to the ball with me. Afterall you did make this all possible.”
“Of course I will come darling. Now let's go and have fun.”
With a flick of her wrist they were at the gates of the Castle of Cinderella.
