A young woman, Ms. Valery Star got launched to space in her space shuttle on June 26th to explore the 5 known dwarf planets beyond the solar system!

Once Valery Star got to space she first landed on the first dwarf planet named Ceres which is the closest dwarf to our solar system.

Valery Star is on Ceres which is 257 billion miles away from the sun! Ceres has no moons and the length of its year is about 4.6 Earth years.

 Ceres has 9 hour days and Ceres is one of the only some planets that have water on it's surface.

...Pluto!! Valery Star made it to the next dwarf planet which is the second closest dwarf planet to the sun, Pluto.

Valery Star is on dwarf planet Pluto! Pluto used to be considered a planet until 2006 when it was named a dwarf planet. Pluto is 3.1526 billion miles away from the sun. It takes about 248. 89 Earth days to revolve around the sun.

Pluto has 5 moons; Charon, Styx, Nix, Kerberos, and Hydra. Charon, the largest, is almost the same size as Pluto that Pluto–Charon is sometimes considered a double dwarf planet.

The dwarf planet named Haumea has 2 confirmed moons;Namaka is the inner moon, and Hi'iaka is the outer moon, and it's full year length is about 285 Earth years! It is 4 billion miles away from the sun. Haumea has 4 hour long days. 

Haumea is one of the extremely cold planets found in our solar system and it is one of the only planets in the Kiper Belt to have rings!!
