to my non-exsistant love life

Silence.
T’was all the moonlit night had to offer while the fiery violinist rested, humming a tune while he lay on a near bench. He had spent days playing his violin at the local bar, non-stop, with the exception of the drinking breaks he’d take. How could he? After all, he had loving, loyal music-loving fans in there! Why would he dare deprive them of music? But alas, some did not want his assistance in performing, some asked him to take a break. He finally listened to them, letting others perform without his assistance, and resting in the process. It was strange to him, Peace and quiet. He hasn't had a quiet moment in a long time. His eyelids started feeling heavy the more he hummed up into the night sky. He began to wane out of reality, his humming now distant to him as the night sky disappeared as he shut his eyes.

¨I don't imagine a bench is very comfortable to rest on.¨
Stirring, the demonic violinist shifted, blinking the grogginess out of his eyes only to be met with pale blue. The newly awake demon hummed sleepily. He hadn't expected to wake up to an angel hovering above him, much less touching noses with said angel.
¨Hello Ezraell.¨ Giving a sleepy grin, he gently pushed the angel, Ezraell, back, as he sat up. Stretching his arms up and arching his back, listening to the popping of his joints before slouching back down.
¨Hello Elio.” The ghostly pale angel hovered around him before taking a seat next to him.

¨You know you`re not supposed to be here right?” Elio raised his gaze to the angel who spoke, humming at the pale beauty in question. “Hm? What do you mean?”
Ezraell sighed, closing his eyes. “Have you already forgotten?”
“Alcohol does wonders my dear” The angel furrowed his brows while the ashy skinned demon let out a chuckle. Flicking light blue strands out of his face while he leaned away from the violinist. Rolling his eyes, not that anyone could tell with how his eyes were.
‘As vast as the blue sky that surrounded the sun on cloudless days’ someone close to him had once described them as, a truly fond memory for him.
“The others want you dead, They think you’re gone.”

“Who?”
“You know who, Elio. But if you keep up this commotion they’ll know you're alive! And I'll get in trouble and they’ll make sure you’re gone this time.”
The angel had started hovering off the bench again, a pale glow emitting off him as his voice started to raise, brows furrowed deeper. Elio’s smile wavered, memories replacing the groggy feeling of sleep.
“Ah yes,” flicking his disheveled hair out of his face, leaning back into the bench letting his head hang backwards, lifting his violin up and gesturing to the air.

- “The higher ones above you right? The buzz-kills high up!” He laughed again.
- “Elio. This is serious.” leaning forward, Ezraell hovered closer, getting more expressive with his hands.
- “I Know Ezraell!” The demon lifted the violin again while dragging out his words, lolling his head before lifting it up.
-“Then why are you so lax?” Throwing his hands to the side while he hovered back.
-“Because I know you’ll protect me, my angel.” Elio leaned forward while Ezraell floated to his front, scoffing and grabbing the bridge of his nose.
- “Well it's true-”

“I Know!” Stiffening and letting go of his nose and opening his eyes. Now ridged he started pacing back and forth in the air.
“I know I will but it won't be long till I get found out and we’re both dead! Or worse! Imprisoned for eternity and we never see each other again and I can't let that happen!” Voice raising in pitch the angel started circling the demon before grabbing his face at the end of his rant, panic painted all over his face. Elio’s smile finally broke into a frown.
“I can't lose you…”

Closing his eyes, Elio let his forehead bump and rest on the other's with a bump, letting go of the violin and holding Ezraell’s head.
“I know…”
“Well you don't act like it.” The angel let himself grab the other's s hand, still holding his face, leaning into the demon's touch. Closing his eyes with a somber expression. A silence filled the air between them before Ezraell broke it with a whisper.
“They’ll make me kill you if they find you alive again…” A tear slipping from his eyes as silence falls between them again.

“Ezraell?” Opening their eyes, they hadn’t realized they had shifted into a cuddly hug on the bench in the silence. Eyes darker than the night appeared to eyes brighter than the blue sky. “Yes?”
“How do they only know it was me but, don't know about you?” the pale being sighed and shifted to rest his head on the ashen one's shoulder.
“I don't know, they haven’t told me many details. Just that they’ll update me if they find out who you were with.” Elio looked down at him as the angel grabbed his charcoal-like hair and fidgeted with it. In turn, he held and twirled Ezraell's cloud-like hair. Light and soft, just life how the angel in his arms moves through the air. Absolutely Beautiful.
