Olivia is playing the Flute because that is the instrument she is assigned but she is not having the best time with it. You might not understand what's going on right now so let’s back up a few spaces.

In the town of Instromonto everybody is assigned an instrument that you stay with for your entire life but you have a chance to change that if you dare to take on the challenge.

The challenge is you have to go to the woodwind mountains, cross the clarinet crocodiles, and surpass the greatest conductor of all time. If you can play the piece he has given you correctly without any mistakes then and only then, you can change your instrument. 

Not sure if that's a risk I would take but seems like Oliva thinks differently. She is determined to get a new instrument and so she starts her journey. She gets her flute and starts going to the mountain. 

It is very steep and windy but she keeps pushing through till she reaches the top. Her legs are very tired so she rests for a few minutes and all of a sudden a brass bear comes and is heading straight toward her.

Ahh! The brass bear is coming

She moves just in time before the bear gets her but she will have to be more careful the rest of the way just in case the bear is following her. She finally gets to the other side of the mountain and her hand is sore from carrying the flute but she keeps going.

She reaches the clarinet crocodiles which are in a creek and she is not sure what she should do. They are asleep so she doesn't want to wake them up. So she makes up a plan.

The plan was to jump quickly and quietly on each of the crocodile's backs so she could reach the other side of the creek. Her plan was successful and she made it to the other side without waking any of the clarinet crocodiles up!
