AaA is for aster
An aster has many small, light purple flowers
with yellow centers. They are mainly found in
wet fields, along ocean shores and roadsides.


BbB is for Butterfly (Monarch)
A Monarch Butterflies are found in southern
Canada and United States. They are also
found in Australia and Hawaii. They live in the
open fields and marshes.

CcC is for Cardinal Flower
Cardinal Flowers can grow up to 3 inches high.
They bloom mainly in late summer through fall.
They grow along streams on the edge of wet
fields.



DdD is for Dolphin (Amazon River)
River dolphins are born gray but as they age
turn pink. Can be found in northern South
America. They live in freshwater rivers
including the Amazon River.



E is for Elephant (African)
Elephants are the largest land animals on
Earth. They live in Africa's forest and
grasslands areas, called the Savannah.

FfF is for Fairy Bell Flowers
Fairy Bells are flowers that have greenish
bells with many yellow stamens inside. They
bloom in the spring in the humid forest.



G is for Giraffe
Giraffes are the tallest animal in the world.
They live in Africa on dry tree spotted
Savannah's.


HhH is for Hemlock (Eastern)
Eastern Hemlock's have red-brown bark. They
are found in cool and wet forests and in rocky
places.

IiI is for Ibis
Ibis are white with long red legs and black
wing tips. They live in marshes, along coastal
wetlands, wet forests and grasslands, and
cypress swamps.


JjJ is for Jack-in-the-Pulpit
Jack-in-the-Pulpit has long stems and three
large leaflets. They can be found in wet woods
and swamp areas. They bloom through the
months of April to June.



K is for Kangaroo
Kangaroo's are found in Australia and
Tasmania. They live in forests, dry
scrublands and open grasslands area.



L is for Lemur (Black and White)
Black and white lemurs are the largest
lemurs. They live in the island of Madagascar
in eastern rainforests.

MmM is for Maple (Red)
Red Maple has green leaves that turn red in
the fall. They are found in swamps, along
streams, in wet soils, dry mountainsides and
forests.

NnN is for Nighthawk
Nighthawks can be found in open woodlands,
fields and sometimes in towns and cities. You
can see the across Canada and southern
California to Florida.


OoO is for Otter
Otters are excellent swimmers and can stay
under water for many minutes. They can be
found in fresh and coastal waterways, also in
swamps, lakes and marshes.


PpP is for Penguin (King)
The King Penguin are the second largest
penguin measuring more than 3 ft. tall. They
can be found in areas that are rocky, icy, or
snowy near the open water.


QqQ is for Quail
Quails are a short tailed bird. They live in
open woodlands, scrubby forests, stream
valleys, farmlands and even suburban gardens.
