ROAD TRIP
jssssss
Once upon a time, there lived a Kangaroo and his
name was Cowala. Cowala was a very young
Kangaroo, so he still had to attend Roo-Roo School.
Currently, Roo-Roo School was cancelled, due to the
annual bushfires that burnt their area. Normally, the
other Kangaroo's loved this time of the year
because they were able to have fun. But not
Cowala... because he had an annual problem. What
was the best way to spend his holidays? Until, one
day when he had and idea. "Why don't I go on a
road trip across Australia, surely that would be fun"

So Cowala planned and planned for his road
trip of Australia. He picked places all across
Australia that he would visit and learn about.
He became so excited for his trip that he
decided to leave the following day. So he
packed spare pouches and boxing gloves. Then
went to bed for an early wake the next
morning.

Cowala set off on his journey at the crack of dawn.
After a long morning of hopping and boxing, Cowala
finally reached his first destination... The Great
Barrier Reef. As soon as he got there he was amazed
not just by the beauty of the Reef but by what lived
within it. Cowala found that there were around thirty
different species of whales, dolphins and porpoises
within the Reef. He also noticed that seventeen
different species of sea snakes live in the Reef and
that six species of sea turtles come to the reef to
breed. There were so many different species of fish
that Cowala lost count after a thousand five hundred
and he couldn't begin to describe the many vibrant
colours of the coral.

G'day Barry, Garry.
Cowala had travelled all the way up to Far North
Queensland and made it to his second destination...
Cape York. Cowala was in awe once he saw Cape
York's beautiful landscape, in fact he was just in awe
at seeing a Peninsula. He had finally crossed off
number twenty-two off his bucket list - to come to
largest unspoiled wilderness in northern Australia
and one of the last remaining wilderness areas on
Earth. Cowala had become sad once he realised that
the wildlife is threatened by introduced species and
weeds. But was soon over joyed when he saw his
mates Barry and Garry.
