First day no one said anything thinking maybe it's just for today and she had a ruff morning. The next day comes and she looks more dirty then the day before. Maybe she plays extra hard outside we thought.

The next day at lunch she sat alone and she was the topic of everyone's conversation. Saying things like I heard she was homeless. Another girl said she couldn't go to school here if she was homeless.

I had an idea.. I was worried what my friends might say but I couldnt stand by and not help her any longer.
Despite what everyone else might say I decided to give her my lunch.. I did this every day.
Every day I gave her my lunch she lit up like this meant the world to her. I started to wonder does she get fed at home?

Then one day out of no where she invited everyone to her birthday party.
This made the gossiping about her start again.
" Chelsey said I heard she lives in the ghetto. Ashely said I'm scared to go to a sleep over at her house." I spoke up and said I have seen the out side of her house its by my parents rental house it can't be to bad. Plus are you to scared of an adventure? (Inside I knew it was in the ghetto but I wanted her to have a great birthday)
