Jane, a rich young girl that lives in Milan, decided to visit her friends in Montursi, a little city in Apulia. She was born in Apulia but, because of her dad’s worked, she moved to Milan when she was 7 years old.

Before taking the airplane she went to buy some gifts made of plastic and some clothes made of polyester for her friends. After she landed, she went to her friends’s house but there wasn't anyone, so she went in and she noticed that they were eco-friendly and their lifestyle was very different.

There were plates made of ceramic, glasses made of glass, a wooden spoon, the water was in a glass jar and the napkins were made of cloth. After that, she heard some voices in a field behind the house and there she saw their friends while they were preparing a picnic. Here she saw a table under some trees where they were preparing the picnic, her friends saw her and they run to hug their friend.

Jane lived in Milan, she used to buy a lot of clothes, up to twice a week. Her mother bought food packed in plastic. She wanted to change her life style with the help of her friends.

Meanwhile in Montursi, a country side near Bari, Jane's friends were waiting for her to arrive. Peter, Vanda, George and Joseph had a very sustainable lifestyle.

They always recycled the small quantity of plastic that they used. They ate in a ceramic plate, they drank in crystal glasses. They hoped that they could also change Jane's life style from sharing with her the routine of a sustainable person.

While living together, Jane decided to change her lifestyle and avoid waste. She asked to her friends for help on how to do it because she was not used to it.

Jane: “spending time with you in Apulia, I realized that your lifestyle is more sustainable than mine."

" I don't know how to change it.", she continued.

Peter:"I'll help you, I can give you some advice: when you eat, do not use glasses, cutlery and plastic plates, at first it can be expensive in the long run it will be convenient."

Joseph: “avoid buying useless things".

Vanda: ”In my opinion the most important thing to do is separate garbage collection.

Despite the difficulties, she started by listening to the advice given by her friend.

Jane realizes that her lifestyle was not sustainable and with the help of friends she wants to start being sustainable.
