Prologue: This book takes place when Prof.Plum, Miss Scarlet, Col. Mustard, Mrs. Peacock, Mr. Green, and Dr. Orchid are parents. Their children, Bently Plum, Tiffany Scarlet, Tommy Mustard, Ila Peacock, George Green, and Athena Orchid are the main characters. But it isn't just a murder in the mansion, it was a murder at school too! Join them on the adventure to find out who did the murder at the mansion and the school. Good luck!

Chapter 1: "Bye!" said Athena. "Bye honey!" said Dr. Orchid. Athena waved and walked out the door. She went to the bus stop and waited for the bus.

When the bus came, Athena got on board. She walked to the back row and sat down. She opened her backpack and looked at the note someone gave her last night. 

                     You never know if a murders near by

      Everyone will die in awe, even if you try to stop 

                                        him bald

What did it mean by stop him bald? She took out her notepad and wrote it down. She put the stuff back in her 

bag and tried to look normal. "A normal family. Huh. I've never wanted to be normal. I'm suspicious with every weird move that someone makes. Watch out." Athena said. The bus stopped and Athena walked out. She walked into the school and sat down on the bench to the office. "Next person." said the guard. Athena walked into the principal's office and slapped her notebook on her desk. "Names Athena. I'm in a very good mood about this school. If something wrong happens. I'm gonna give you a low star." said Athena. She pulled out her phone and gave it the five star rate. "If anything bad goes on. I'm putting this down to zero." said Athena. She put her phone back in her pocket. "Deal." she said. The principal

looked so scared she had to nod. "Good. Now you make sure nothing bad happens or this beautiful school is going bye bye." Athena said. She walked out and looked at the guard. "What dumb butt." she said. The guard backed away. 

After school Athena got picked up by her mom, Dr. Orchid. "How was school?" asked Dr. Orchid. "Good." said Athena. "Did you do your thing?" asked Dr. Orchid. "Yep. She looked so afraid. I told her the school was not going to be pretty if something bad happened." said Athena. "Good job." said Dr. Orchid. "But you know what happens

if theres a murder." "I have to help solve it." said Athena. "Good job." said Dr. Orchid. They pulled into the driveway and Athena got out and went straight to her room to study the note. 

Chapter 2: "No!" yelled Bently. He threw his controller and screamed in his pillow. Prof. Plum came in and looked and Bently seriously. "I'm in the middle of a meeting. You shut your mouth and read a book." said Prof. Plum. Bently groaned but got a CAPTION UNDERPANTS  book. He started reading and then Prof. Plum went back to his meeting. After bently thouhgt the coast was clear, he pulled out his phone. "You'll never stop me from being the king." he said, as he entered the game. 

Five minutes later Prof. Plum came in. "Bently. There's a person at the door for you." Prof. Plum said. "Ok." said

Bently. He got up and looked at the person. "Who are you?" he asked. "Come with me." said the person. "We have to talk."

Chapter 3: Tiffany sat in her moms office, doing her own work. "Mom." said Tiffany. "Yes." says Scarlet. "I want to be an author like you when I grow up." said Tiffany. Scarlet looked up from her book. "That's sweet honey." she said. "Thanks. What book are you writing now?" asked Tiffany. "Coffee Shop." said Scarlet. "What's it about?' asked Tiffany. "A coffee shop that has a murderer and the people are trying to find out who did it. They asked everyone in town but no one said they did it so the friends are down to them. So basically one of the friends did the murder." said Scarlet. "Cool." said Tiffany. "Now can I get back to work honey?" asked Scarlet. "Of course. Can I go to the bathroom?" asked Tiffany. "Yep." said 

Scarlet. Tiffany got up and went to the bathroom. Except she didn't. She walked out into the parking lot. And she got on her bike and rode away.

Chapter 4: George was sitting outside. His stepfather Mr. Green, was leaving him alone and let him do his thang. He was taking his break from basketball and was thinking about how famous he would be. Then, his friend, Miles, startled him out of his own world. "Hey GG." said Miles. "Sup." said George. He wiped his forehead with his sweat towel. "Wanna play?" asked Miles. "Sure." said George.

They started playing and then a girl and a boy came up on the driveway. The girl grabbed Georges hand and took him away from miles. "What?" asked Miles. "Is going on?" "I don't know. But get away before she grabs you and tries to started smooching you." said George. 

The girl slapped George. "Hey." said George. "Your coming with me." the girl said. she pulled out a knife. "And if you try to leave." she pretended to kill herself. "Ok." said George. "Tell Mr. Green I'm sorry." 

Chapter 5: Illa sat. Looking at her mom. "You work for the FBI. The only job you want to do is the FBI. That's the "only" job you could a ford. Wow. Nice." said Illa. "You'll have a babysitter your whole life until you prove you're big enough to stay at home alone." said Mrs. Peacock. "I'll be gone tomorrow morning and I won't be back until 5:00 A.M." Illa coughed. "Okay." she said. Illa got up and went to her room. She looked out her window and saw a girl coming up to her doorbell. She had to boys by her and she was holding a knife. Illa answered the door before the girl could ring it. "Can you come with me?" she asked. Illa went back inside and asked. "Be home by 9:00." mom yelled. Illa went back to the girl. "Go."

Chapter 5: Tommy watched the news. Ever since his father, Col. Mustard entered the army, Tommy had been all over the news. "Come on! Get to Mustards part!" said Tommy. "We report that a nuclear bomb has hit an army mate. His name is JaJa Lay. And we report a video from Hitber Heart. The video started and Tommy could barely hear he had to turn it up to 50.

We report that Col.Mustard hit 1 million Canadians with a nuke. Say thank you  Mustard! 

"Go dad GO!" yelled Tommy. Tommy was home alone with no baby sitter. He was good alone. His father always put him in danger.

DING DONG WEE DING DONG WEE! went the doorbell. Tommy got up and answered. "Were here to talk to you." said the person. Tommy got his shoes on. "What are you waiting for." he said. "We have to get moving." 

Chapter 6: Athena walked the people to her backyard and they sat down by a tree. "So. I want to be friends with you guys.'' said Athena. "FRIENDS! AND YOU HAD TO DRAG US AROUND THE WHOLE TOWN JUST TO SAY YOU HAD TO MAKE US YOUR FRIENDS!" yelled a boy. "Well you guys would just decline it if I sent a letter so I thought if I acted creepy and brought a knife then you would be my friends." said Athena. "My names Athena." said Athena. "My names Bently." said Bently. "My names Tiffany." said Tiffany, parking her bike. "My names George." said George. "My names Illa." said Illa. "And my names Tommy." said Tommy. "Well why are we here?" asked Tiffany. "Because. Do we all agree to be friends?" 

asked Athena. Everyone nodded. "So; my house is the meeting place and whenever we need to tell the group something, text us a HOOT HOOT! in capitals." said Athena. Everyone nodded. "But, I have to tell you something. My mom says if, I said if, there's a murder, I have to help. So if there's a murder, will you guys help me?" asked Athena. Everyone nodded. "That's what friends do, right." said Tiffany. "So, everyone got the plan?" asked Athena. "YEP!" everyone said. "This meeting is called over." said Bently. "Okay." everyone said. "Bye!" said Illa. "Bye!" said Athena. Then everyone was gone.

Chapter 7: The next morning Tommy woke up he got on his lucky shirt. He got his backpack and walked to the bus stop. When he entered the bus, he saw Illa and Athena talking at the back of the bus. "Hey." said Tommy. "Can I talk with you guys?" Athena nodded. "So, I heard there was an mis fit trouble maker this year." said Athena. "Cool." said Illa. "Tell me all about." Athena started talking and then the bus stopped. Everyone was getting out of their seats and looking at the sign of the school. Even Tommy wanted to look at the school sign. "Oh. I new school sign. Cool." Tommy said. The new sign had a rainbow circle around it and the words, GOAT MIDDLE SCHOOL: HOME OF THE GOATS! It had flying 

goats and a farm. 

The bus kids got off the bus to get a better view. When Tommy got off the bus, he went to the cafeteria to get a donut. When he entered the café, no one was there. It was just him. He walked up to the lunch lady, Mrs. Monkey and got his donut. He sat down at a table and ate. when he finished, he went to the trash and threw his napkin away. "Would you like me to take the garbage out?" asked Tommy. "That would be lovely." said Mrs. Monkey. Tommy rolled the trash can to the dump outside. When he dumped it inside he looked in the trash can to see if everything was gone. when he looked inside his mouth dropped. He saw something breath taking.  

Chapter 8: Group Chat: 

Tommy: HOOT HOOT!

Athena: WHAT! I'M HERE!

Tommy: Dead body!

Athena: WHAT!

Tommy: Stop doing capitals. feels like you yelling at me.

Athena: Sorry. But dead body!

Tommy: Come to dump. ASAP

Athena: KK

Chapter 9: Athena ran to the dump and found Tommy sitting there, with a worried look on his face. "I'm here." said Athena. "Good," said Tommy, with a little bit of relief. "Look in the trash can." Athena poked her head in. "WHAT!" she yelled. "HOW?" "I have no idea. It was sitting there at the bottom of the trash," said Tommy. "Okay," said Athena. "This looks like a murder at the school mystery."

After school, Athena, Tommy, Illa, George, Bently, and Tiffany were hiding out in the library. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" asked Tiffany. "Yeah. We have out find out  

who that murderer is. Or else he'll kill other people." said Athena. "And who knows? We may be one of those." "I have one question," said George. "Why exactly are we hiding behind a bookshelf?" "Mrs. White will not see us here. It's the best of luck," said Illa. They shut up for a moment. The light was out. Mrs. White is gone.

One by one everyone started to whisper. "What is going on? Is everyone gone?" asked Bently, in a loud whisper. Athena poked her head out. "3:45. One more bus to go and then everyone's gone." "What if it was a dead boy someone found in the street. If it is, people might be looking for him. You know, for the funereal." said

Tommy, with a little bit of hope. Athena could tell Tommy didn't want to be there. He wanted to be home watching the news. "Well, the only people that really stay at school after everyone leaves, are the janitors and the chess club. So, it could be one of the janitors who kills a kid at the chess club?" guessed Illa. "Good guess. Mr. Kendoll could have done it. He's the mean one." said Tiffany. That was the first time she talked ever since they went behind the bookshelf. "What if we-." "Hello. Someone is in here and I know it." It was Mr. Kendoll. He was going to polish the floors and clean the bookshelf. Everyone started to shift. Mr. Kendoll would see them back there! But it was too late to escape. They had to go up and down and

move around. "Here we go," said Illa, in her quietest voice. "The gymnastics part."

The polisher turned on and everyone sat down. "Hope this works," said George. "I do too," said Athena. The polisher got closer and all the friends lay down. Tommy bumped his head and tried not to say ow. 

When the floor was all clean, Mr. Kendoll started on the bookshelves. Nonfiction, then cooking, then picture books, then ICCAs, then, it was the fiction shelves. "here we go." thought Athena. The first set of books was not hard. They just had to stay where they were. The second        

one was a little harder. they had to shift as fast as they could. Then it was the hard part. It was the girl part. Illa climbed up the bookshelves and lay at the top. Athena managed to fit through a small crack. And Tiffany lay down on the floor. they stood in that position and then, and shake came. "Oh no." thought Athena. Illa tried not to fall. Athena tried not to move. And Tiffany, well, she tried not to laugh. When the shelf was clean, the girls were safely secured in their spots. Mr. Kendoll stopped on his way to the door. "Someday, I'm gonna find out who was in this library. And then, they'll get suspended," he said, with a cruel laugh. "And then everyone will notice me as Mr. Kendoll the great." He chuckled. Then,

he walked out the door. "Oh jeez," said Athena. "We'll have to be super careful when we walk around the school. Or else..." she put her middle finger and pointer together and slid it across her neck. "Or else," stammered Tommy. "Or else we'll be dead." 

 Chapter 10: When bus 25 was gone, Athena looked around the library. "I think we're safe," she said. "Good." said Tiffany. "I think I'm claustrophobic." That made everyone laugh. "Everyone here in the library felt claustrophobic sometimes," said Tommy. "Like, behind the bookshelves. Not in the library, it's huge." Illa nodded. She felt the same way as Tiffany.

As they entered the hall, they carefully peeked around the corners of the hallways. Just in case there was any Mr. Kendoll.

They crept through the halls and looked in every hall. No sight of a killer, not yet. They went down the red hallway. The one where chess club was. "I think I have an idea." said George. "What?" asked Tiffany. "Well, we could act

like we're going to chess club and then if someone wants to go to the bathroom, we could say we need to and then we could walk with the kid to see what happens." said George. "Wow. No of us would be solving this mystery if you weren’t here, George," said Athena. He blushed. 

They walked to the chess club and said they were late. "Sorry. We had to help..." Tommy stammered off. "We had to help the lunchroom. We had to help pick it up." added Illa. "Well welcome. Find a seat." said the teacher. 

When thirty minutes of chess club hit, still no one went to go to the bathroom. So Athena decided she would go. "Excuse me," said Athena."May we go to the bathroom?"    

Teacher nodded. They all got up, with Athena leading the way, and went to the bathroom.

When they were about to turn the corner, Athena disappeared. "Wait," said Tiffany. "Did she actually have to go?" "Maybe," said George. They turned the corner and saw a flash of black. They heard a scream. "HELP!" "Wait," said Tommy. "Athena didn't have to go. That guy in the black took her!"  

Chapter 11: They ran around the corner until they saw nothing. "He got away," said Tiffany. "We have to be careful. You might not know if someone is lurking around the corner." Then Illa jumped. "That's it!" she said. "What?" everyone asked. "Athena has this note in her pack!" said Illa. "Well show us," said George. "Come on," said Illa. "Her bag is in the library."

Chapter 12: They ran to the library again and looked in Athena's bag. "Shouldn't we ask Athena before we look in her private stuff?" asked Tiffany. "Athena's not here, remember, she's dead," said Bently. "Well we don't know that," said Tommy. "She might be she might not be." Illa looked in the bag and dug around. "Here's the note!" she said. "It says," she began to read. 

                   You never know if murder is by

Everyone will die in awe, even if you try to stop him bald.

"It's like a puzzle." said Illa. "But, we already know some of it!" "Yeah. A murder is near by. And our main suspect

is the guy who took Athena. And then..." Tiffany trailed off. "If we try to stop him and he doesn't let us basically, then everyone will die. In this school," said Illa. Tommy gasped. "Well," said Tiffany. "Illa, since you know more than us, you could be the leader, if you want." "Of course," Illa said. "I think you would like the style of my leading. Plus, I think I know where the dude is hidden."

Chapter 13: They struggled to get across the bridge to the other side of the school. Security cameras were everywhere and security guards were too. Once they came upon a  camera, Illa looked in the backpack. She found some school books and finally she found the pouch of weapons. She opened the pouch and saw a pocket knife, blade, kitchen knife, scissors, pizza cutter, spatula, can opener, and a cactus. Illa took out the spatula and pointed it at the camera. Then, she threw it. It flew through the air like a bird, trying to win first place in a race. And then it hit the camera. It was Illa's target.

The camera came crashing down and until they couldn't see it anymore. Then, when it hit the first floor, you could here it all the way from up there. "Here," said Illa. "Pick      

one. And keep it safe." Everyone picked one and then they held it tight. As they walked across the bridge Illa stopped. "Right here. De La Do Fool," said Illa. "How come we didn't think of this," said Tommy. "Well, your brains might not be turned on," said Illa. Illa looked through the window. "No one," she said. "Must not be here yet." "Quick. We have to hide," said Tiffany. "I see him coming." They all hurried into the room and agreed to hide under the cupboard. CREAK! He's in. Thought Illa. She heard a muffled voice. "It's like he has a mask on." whispered Bently. "I'll be right back." said the muffled voice. CREAK! Went the door again. "He's out." said Tommy. They poked their heads out of the cupboards

and looked around. "Athena!" said Tiffany, running out of the cupboard and hugging her. "M M M!" said Athena. "Is it okay if I pull the tape off?" asked Bently. "Mhm," said Athena. Bently pulled the tape off. "Thanks!" said Athena. They untied her and helped her stand up properly. "We're friends! They help each other," said Illa. "Quick," said George. "Let's get out of here before he gets back." They headed for the door when it opened. CREAK! "Hey!" yelled the man. "How'd you get in here!"   

Chapter 13 1/2: The guy pulled out a knife and held it up in the air. Everyone except Athena held up their weapons. "Grab one out of your bag!" yelled George. Athena ran to her bag and pulled out the cactus. "ATTACK!!!!!" yelled Athena. All the kids ran after the guy and the guy ran after the kids. The war has begun. 

Chapter 14: Tiffany ran after the dude and stabbed his legs. Blood came gushing out of his leg and he didn't even say ouch. 

Athena took quills out of the cactus and put them in the dude's checks. 

George took the kitchen knife and put it on his toes.

Illa took the blade and the dude stabbed her in the check. Only a tiny bit of blood came out. "Hey!" said Illa. "Look over there! Kids coming after you!" The guy looked over and Illa stabbed the guy in the chest. He fell to the ground. "Right in the HEART!" yelled Illa. He stopped breathing, his heart stopped. He was dead. It was the end of the war. The friends have won.   

Chapter 15: The friends looked at the dead body. The blood spread around the room. He lay there, not moving a muscle. "Well, we took care of the guy. So, basically, did we solve the mystery?" asked George. "Well," said Athena. "We don't know if it was him. The only way to find out is getting in more trouble." "Well, I don't know if that will happen," said Illa. "We've caused enough trouble in school for the day. Let's just go home, relax, and don't worry about the murder or the murderer. Just have some time to relax. We'll get to the case tomorrow after school." Everyone nodded. Except for Athena. "How will this propose?" asked Tommy. "We'll go home and relax," said Illa. "Same with Athena. But she'll pick up 

some clues. Then when we meet in the morning, she'll tell us if she figured anything out. Deal?" "Deal," said Athena. 

They got on their bikes and rode away. All separate ways. And Athena went to the library.

Chapter 16: Athena went into the library and sat down at a table. She pulled out her notepad and looked at all the books she wanted from the library.

1. Counting by 7's

2. Watership down

3. Life of Pi

4. The miraculous journey of Edward Tulane

5. All the light we cannot see

6. Number the stars

7. SLOB
8. Wild River

9. Lincoln Highway 

Then the last one was the land of stories and Wings Of Fire. She got up and went around looking for those books. She found all of them and then put them in her pack. "You can never do too much reading." she thought. She walked out of the library and started to walk to the doors. Then she remembered. She had to do gymnastics practice today! She sprinted out of the doors, heavy backpack bouncing against her back. Then she got on her bike, and raced home.

Chapter 17: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Athena raced inside and saw her mom on the floor. A dead body lay on the floor. "Mom," said Athena, calmingly. "My," she stammered. "My guest somehow is dead." Athena ran her fingers over the arm of the dead body. "Is his name Charles?" asked Athena. Mom nodded. Then Athena decided not to help. Charles was who DR. ORCHID WAS GOING TO MARRY! Athena ran to her room and took out her notebook. She had to write a brief note. 

It is optional, you can help with the murder of Charles Gippie, or you can not.

Athena thought about what her mom had said. She had to help. No matter what. 

She ran downstairs and saw her mom in the security room, checking the cameras. "Mom," said Athena, softly. "The person is gonna come up blurry. OR, he may have just passed out. Maybe he drank too much wine." Mom nodded, tears still on her face. She checked the cameras several times, but nothing came up. "See," said Athena. "He passed out." "Shoo. Go back to school. Read a book or something. I don't need you in my phase of solving." said Dr. Orchid. Athena moaned. She wanted to help. Or she could go back to the school library and check out more books. She chose the second option. She got on 

her bike and strolled away. Still, something felt wrong with the way her mom acted. It was like she wasn't in her own skin. 

Chapter 18: Athena rode her bike to school. She still had thought about how her mom was not, right. She would usually have let her help, but now that has changed. She wasn't allowed to solve a mystery. Not at all. But, she still had the one at school. 

When she arrived, she went straight to the library. She checked out some other books.

Athena looked at all the bookcases. Mrs. White will notice the books are gone. But that's okay. She'll love it that someone is checking them out. Athena looked behind the checkout counter and saw some bags. "I'll put the books in them." she thought. She grabbed the bags and put the books in. Good thing she has all the other books. in her backpack from when she was leaving. She would have to spend the night in school. And she exactly where to sleep. Right here. In the library.  

Chapter 19: When Athena woke up the next morning, she packed all her stuff. She finished Counting by 7's, Watership Down, Life of Pi, All the light we cannot see, The miraculous journey of Edward Tulane, Number the stars, SLOB, wild river, and Lincoln Highway. She now was able to move into the second set of books. She looked in her backpack and took out where the red fern grows. 

the school opened in 1 hour so she could have some time to read. She opened the book and started to read. CREEK CRACK CREEK CRACK!  Athena put down her book and looked up. Mrs. White was here! She packed all her stuff as quiet as she could and ran out behind the counter. Then, she bumped right into Mrs. White.

Chapter 20: "Mrs. Orchid! What are you doing here at this time?" asked Mrs. White. "Uh- Uh-" said Athena. Think think think! yelled Athena in her mind. Aha! "Mrs. Rear took me here. She's babysitting me." "Principal Rear! I never knew she had another job!" said Mrs. White. "Come on in. Take as many books as you like." They walked into the library together and Mrs. White got everything set up. Athena pretended that she got where the red fern grows off the shelf and started to read where she left off. "So," said Mrs. White. "What book did you choose?" "Where the red fern grows," replied Athena. "Classic," said Mrs. White. 

An hour later the bell rang for everyone to go to class.  

"NO!" Athena thought. "We have to find out who did the murder!"

Then, minutes later, Athena came up with a plan.

Chapter 21: Group chat

Athena: HOOT HOOT!

Bently: What

Athena: We can't go to school

Tommy: YAY!

Tiffany: What's the plan Athenie?

Athena: We pretend we're sick and hide around the

school

Illa: Good idea! Where do we meet

Athena: By the bathroom where the chess club is

Illa: Everyone; go to the bathrooms!
