“Ahem, quiet down now!”, Zeus the Greek
god of the sky said. “ This better be
important! The last time you called for a
meeting was because you ran out of
pudding!”, Athena the goddess of wisdom
said. “Well, this is important!”, Zeus said. “All
the stars are crowding up our daytime sky!”,
he said. “We need to put an end to this!”
“How about we give a test to all the stars ,
and see which one is best. The others will
then come out only at night. We need them in
the night for the mortals anyway!”, Percy, my
mortal and loyal friend said. “I think that’s a
great idea!”, I said aloud. The gods all nodded
their heads.

“But where will we do this contest, and what
will we test the stars on?”Athena pointed out.
Sometimes I wish she wasn't so wise! Then, an
idea popped into my head. “Lets see which
star shines the brightest!”I said. “I think thats
a great idea, Pratina!”Percy said to me. I
grinned at him. “Then its settled. Tomorrow
morning we meet at the arena where we can
see each, and every star in the sky”, Zeus
said. Then we all went to our cabins to sleep.

“Knock, knock!”, Percy said. I jumped out of
bed and opened the door for him. He looked
very happy. His sea green eyes glistened with
excitement. His dark black hair very neat and
tidy. And his tanned skin complimented his
purple toga. “Guess who was doing the
Olympus Shake!”, he said as he walked in. I
snapped my fingers and my robe turned into a
bright pink toga. “Was it Zeus again!?”, I
replied. Percy nodded. He's making Hera
mad!”, he said to me. I laughed. “So do we
have to bring anything to the contest?”, I
asked Percy. “I don't know! But whatever we
need Zander is so going to come and tell us
any minute now!” Zander is a son of Athena.
Always prepared. Unlike me and Percy!
Suddenly we heard a knock on my cabins door.
Bang, bang! “May I come in?”, said a soft
voice. “Go ahead!”, I said. The door creaked
open, and in came a young man wearing a
light blue toga with dirty blond hair, pale skin,
and electric blue eyes that matched his toga
perfectly. He could have been mistaken for a
child of Zeus but, because of his personality he
was, DEFINITELY a child of Athena.
