What can you do on a winter day in Madrid.
What can you do on a winter day in Toledo.
New Year on Spain.

What can you do on a winter day in Madrid?
First, it is important to say that Madrid has many interesting activities, but here I'm going to name the best ones.

Places are one of best things about Madrid, some of the ''must see on winter'' are:
-'La plaza mayor' wich on winter gets full of Street markets, and where you can enjoy the best mouth-watering squid sandwiches.
-'La gran vía'beign one of the most emblematic and busy streets on Madrid, full of theatres, cinemas, shops and Hotels. On winter ,it gets lighted up and if you have the chande to see the lights from a terrace, you'll be able to take beautiful photos, some people even call it The Spanish fifth avenue.
-'El parque del retiro' beign the ideal place for a walk.If you go, you must see 'El palacio de cristal' where, if you are lucky, you could watch an exposition.

- All of the museums that you can find in Madrid are worth visiting, in spececial 'El museo del Prado','El museo Reina Sofía' and 'El museo arqueológico' where you can find famous artworks, anciente pieces of jewlery and a wide variety of interesting objects.
-And if you are cold and want to have a delicious snack, I would recommend you San Gines, where you can enjoy a hot chocolate or a coffe with some churros, really worth trying.

What can you do on a winter day in Toledo?
Similar to Madrid, Toledo is also a beautiful city with plenty of activities, wich i'm going to name.

One of the activities that you can do in Toledo is appreciate it's diverse culture as it was a city with many cultures reunited, many of the pieces of culture have remained to our days,
examples of this are ¨La plaza de Zocodover¨wich in winter lights up with beautiful lights and it's beautiful on its own.

Other cltural places of Toledo wich become even more pretty in winter are
The Alcantara bridge *not to be confused with the one in Estremadura*
"El alcázar de Toledo" a place with a huge amount of history.
And of course it's highly recommended to get lost on the streets of Toledo while you enjoy the views, and maybe you try some mazapán.

All of my previous recommendated places can be visited through all year, but I think that visiting them on winter, with all the decoration just hits different
and it's feels special in this time of the year.

The chimes are 12, on the last seconds of the year, were we eat 12 grapes, one for every month, to wish for luck for the year coming.
