Deep within a forest in the English countryside sat
a town called Shasta.
Shasta was a very small town with only a couple
cozy cottages and very friendly citizens.

Behind the village homes was a beautiful, colorful
forest abandoned by fairies who once lived in
Shasta many years before.
The forest was covered in sparkly fairy dust and
magical fallen stars, and because of the magic left
behind by the fairies, the flowers in this forest
were very special...

Why aren't I special...

All the pretty flowers in the forest had super
powers. Lilly could change her petals to match all
the colors of the rainbow, Tulip absorbed rain
water faster than any other flower, and Sunflower
shone almost as bright as the sun!
But there was one flower, named Delilah, that
didn't have any super-duper flower powers, and
that made Delilah feel sad.

Don't worry,little Delilah...

Delilah didn't know what was wrong with her. She
wanted flower powers more than anything else!
Whenever she became very sad, Delilah loosened her
roots from the soil and waddled off to an open field
where she could be by herself.
"Why oh why, dear blue sky, can't I fly? Tell me yellow
sun, why can't I just have fun?" Delilah asked her
nature friends. Everyone wanted to help poor Delilah,
but they didn't know how! "Don't worry, little Delilah,"
said Burt the Ant, "You'll find your flower power one
day!"

Later in the evening of that same day, a young girl
dressed in a queen costume showed up in Delilah's
secret hideaway. The little girl had on the same
sad face as Delilah. "I wonder why she's so sad..."
thought Delilah."
As Delilah looked at the sad girl, Delilah had an
idea: "I'm going to help that girl turn that frown
upside down!"

"Hi! My name is Delilah. I know it's weird to see a
talking, walking flower, but I've never seen a queen
before!" exclaimed dear old Delilah. The girl, who's
name is Daisy, was so shocked and excited at the
sight of Delilah, she completely forgot what was
making her sad. "Hello, my name is Daisy! Hey look,
we're both flowers," giggled Daisy, "well you're a
REAL flower, and I'm a QUEEN!" she proclaimed
with a laugh. Delilah too forgot what was making
her sad.
