Now let's learn about some eye diseases:-Cataracts-the eye lenses become cloudy and blurry.-Strabismus (Crossed Eyes)-eyes are not aligned andgo in different directions-Glaucoma-fluid builds up which causes pressure anddamages the optic nerves-Color Blindness-people who cannot see color orcertain shades of colors-Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)-swelling in theconjunctiva

Smell

Next, is the sense of a smell. The two functions of smell is to
help someone be aware of their
surroundings by sending signals
through the nose to the brain.
Secondly, the sense of smell helps
us to recognize past scents that
we have smelled.
13

The nose is the main organ for smell. Also, the
brain is involved in this because the signals
from the nose are carried to the olfactory bulb
in the brain, where they are recognized.
