Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria was born on December 1, 1949 in Rionegro, Antioquia Colombia. He was one of 7 children of a farmer father and a primary school teacher mother. His first crimes were petty thefts. The most well-known of these thefts was stealing ancient tombstones and selling them to tourists. Continuing to steal for a while, Pablo started stealing cars and then continued to progress in the criminal world by selling products on the black market. When he realized that the money coming from the black market was low, he started to turn to different businesses. One of these jobs was selling contraband and fake lottery tickets, but as time passed, he stated that he wanted to expand the business and dealt with crimes suchas kidnapping and blackmail. After these works, he started drug trafficking and sales in the 1970s.
In the book The Accountant's Tale, Roberto Escobar, Pablo's brother and accountant, describes how Pablo became a billionaire when he was middle class. He was named the 7th richest person in the world according to Forbes magazine. At the height of his power, he earned half a million US dollars a day from cocaine sales, paying around $2500 a week for tires to keep bundles of money together; He also states that nearly 10% of the money he earned was eaten by mice and the coins rotted due to wetness.
In 1982, he entered the elections from the Colombian Liberal Party and was elected as an alternate member of the Colombian Chamber of Representatives. By gaining political power, he got the support of the police and the public. Post-election has already increased drug trafficking with countries such as the USA, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic and Spain. Pablo Escobar's men were charged with the deaths of nearly 200 judges and thousands of civilians, police and government officials.
On November 27, 1989, Pablo Escobar's men planted a bomb on the plane and detonated it in mid-air, because of the evidence an informant on Avianca Flight 203 had against Escobar. The attack resulted in the deaths of around 100 people.

During the operation against Pablo Escobar on December 2, 1993, while fleeing from the search team, Pablo was located by the Colombian electronic surveillance team using radio waves technology; He was found hiding in a middle-class apartment in Medellin in the operation led by Brigadier General Hugo Martínez. After a long conflict, he was shot by the CIA and Colombian security forces. About 25,000 people attended the funeral.
