In our country we preserved veggetables for long winter time. We mostly use cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, peppers which gives us a lot of vitamin C for cold days.


















In old days, people had no refrigerator and they preserved carrots for the winter, in wooden sawdust or paper. It had to be dry.

Οι ελιές είναι μικροί καρποί που φύονται σε ελαιόδεντρα. Τα απολαμβάνουμε σε σαλάτες, σάντουιτς και αλέιμματα.
Έτσι συντηρούμε τις ελιές σε αλατισμένη άλμη:
1. Μαζέψτε τις ελιές. 2. Τα πλένουμε καλά και αφαιρούμε τα χαλασμένα.
3. Χρησιμοποιήστε ένα βάζο ή δοχείο με καπάκι. Βάζουμε μια στρώση ελιές και τις σκεπάζουμε με μια στρώση χοντρό αλάτι. Κάνετε το ίδιο για τις υπόλοιπες ελιές μέχρι να γεμίσετε το βάζο.
4. Αποθηκεύστε το σε δροσερό σκοτεινό μέρος, ή στο ψυγείο για έως και ένα χρόνο.

Preserving frech vegetables
1.Use homemede vegetables from your garden: cαuliflouer, carrots, red papers and celery.
2.Wach them very well.
3. Cut them in small pieces and put them in a stetilized
glass jar.
4.Boil the salt and water.
5.Take a glass jar and pure the boiled salted water.
6.Add the vinegar
7.When it is cold, we can seal the glass jars and store them.
In this way, we can have a delicious salad with picklid
vegetables. Ad some olive oil and eat it driking
some tsipouro.
