Long time ago there was a land called Ibalong. The hero

Batlog, came from botavora the brave clan of lipod. There were many monsters roaming in this land.

One night there was a monstrous, wild boar. It was seen that he destroyed the crops. Batlog then decided to look for the boar. And when he saw the boar he wrestled it fearlessly. 

When Batlog killed the wild boar. He went to his house in tondo. He then hung the broken bones of tandayag which was the boar that he just killed. When people heard that Batlog killed a monster. They  prepared a feast and celebrated.

The second hero who came to the land was Handyong. He came with his men. He fought thousands of battles and faced many dangers in defeating the monster. they first fought the one-eyed monster. For ten months, they fought without rest. They didn't stop until all monsters were dead.

Handyong and his men next fought  the giant flying sharks called Triburon. They continued to fight until all of the Triburon were killed. They tamed the wild carabaos. they killed all the crocodiles which were as big as boats. And with all their killings the river of ibalon became red with blood.

Among the enemies of Handyong and his men, Oryol was the hardest to kill. It has a beautiful voice and it could switch images.  Handyong tried many ways. But Oryol escaped every one of it. In one the areas of Ibalong called Ligmanan, Handyong built a town. slaves and masters were treated equally.

 Through his good example, his people became inspired and came up with their own inventions.  And this was the golden period in Ibalong. But suddenly, there came big floods, with terrifying earthquakes. Then, the earth parted, mountains sank, lakes were formed, and many towns in Ibalong were ruined.

Then appeared the giant Rabot. A half-man half-beast, with terrifying powers. So Bantong, the third hero was created. He was a good friend of Handyong. He was ordered to kill the new monster in Ibalong. He took thousands of warriors to attack Rabot. But he did not attack the giant right away. He first observed Rabot’s ways.
