I grew up in Washington. Once my dad got that new jobme and my family were always moving, and I didn't think
I had a real home. My life was like a hole. I lived with
out a reason. All we did was go to one place for a while
then leave I didn't even get a chance to go to school.
2
Places like this were ok until you realizedit was just like the others. You came made
friends, then left. It was pointless to me.
My life felt like it was drifting slowly away
from me.
3
I saw a lot of people including people like this, but I never had real friends. I
only had my parents. The only thing
was they were never around for me
either.
4
As i looked out the window of our planeI realized that I needed a home. I needed
a life. That my life needed a purpose.
5
I feel like I should have thought this earlier because that minute our plane
went down. That day was faint in my
memory. My parents had died in that
plane crash along with my two little
brothers
6
My name is Emily Taylor. I moved in with my aunt in Alaska after the
accident, but I feel as if my home is back
in Washington.
7
Days come and go just like people. I have been trying to find a way back home. Scraping up money here and
there. The day i turned 18 I had enough money to go
back to Washington. So I ordered a one-way ticket
there, and started packing. My aunt took it well, and
started to plan a going away party. The airport was in
the next town, and there was a blizzard supposed to
blow in that day. The day finally came, and as I feared
there was a blizzard, but it already passed through the
airport, and planes were cleared for take-off. The thing
was my town still had the effects of the blizzard, and
the roads were closed. So I had a choice stay, or walk
to the next town with my stuff, and head to Washington.
8
As if you didn't know that minute I started to walk. The town was about a hour away by road. So i figured to take the wood
area. As i was walking I noticed tracks made by a snow mobile
How i wish i had one right now, but i continued to walk. I
finally looked down at my watch. I only had 15 minutes left. I
had been walking for about two hours now.
9
That's when i saw the airport. Right then i looked down at my watch. I had
8 minutes left. So i started to run. I
reached the door with 5 minutes to go. I
went inside.
10
I signed in with two minutes to go. I waswalking down the hallway when I heard
"last call for Flight 317 to Washington.
11
As I got on the plane I was thinking. Thinking about home and where I
would stay. I started to get excited
that I was finally getting the chance
to go home.
12
We took off. It was only like a three hour flight. On the plane i kept thinking
of when I was a kid, and how I never had
a home. I was finally getting what I
always wanted.
13
When I got off it was night, and had no where to stay. So i went
to the nearest motel and bought
a room.
