İSTOP

The players form a circle . One of the children becomes a midwife so that the game can start. The person who is a midwife throws the ball into the air by saying the name of one of the players. When the ball is about to fall to the ground, if the player whose name is being said manages to catch the ball in the air, the person who caught the ball throws the ball back into the air by saying someone else's name.

The child who cannot hold the thrown ball in the air, on the other hand, shouts “istop” when he picks up the ball from the ground. Players who are running away from the field stop where they are at the moment when “istop” is called. No one moves. In this case, the midwife tries to hit one of the standing players with the ball. The player who is hit with the ball loses one point and becomes a midwife. The player who has been hit three times is given a name and the game continues with that name.

        (THE HANDKERCHIEF CAPTURING GAME)

The children of the players come running into the circle where the handkerchief referee is in. The game lasts when one of the player children takes a handkerchief and runs to get out of the bottom line where his team is located. It ends with any dislocation of the bottom line. If he leaves the field without being hit, he wins.

Players age: from 5 years old

Number of players: 4 players (the more the better)

Gaming space: you can play anywhere where there are no “breakable” things. Mostly indicated is that you play in the outdoors, in parks or big, clear spaces.

Needed materials: a ball

How to play

 All players devide: ducks and hunters. You will only need 2 player to play hunters, and the rest are ducks. You specify the gaming space. Usually, the gaming space is a rectangle. A hunter is places on each sides of the space. The ducks will be between the hunters. Hunters must “hunt” the ducks with the ball. They throw the ball across the room, from one another, trying to hit the ducks with the ball. When a duck is touched my the ball, they have to leave the game. Ducks have to try to dodge the ball, without leaving the game perimeter. For the last duck that’s still in the game: the ball must be thrown around the room a number of times. Hunters have the number of chances of the age of the last duck. (ex: if the duck is 9, hunters have to try to get them out of the gave under 9 tries)

If they don’t hit the duck, the game restarts with the same hunters. The game ends when all the ducks have been hit by the ball. The next hunters are the first 2 people that have been out of the game. There are different ways, in which ducks win “lives” if they manage to catch the ball with their hands before it hits the ground.
