As I woke up from bed, I knew that today was the big day. Me and my
friends were going camping in the
woods. As I packed my clothes, food,
and other accessories. I called my
friends to see if they were ready. Bill
said that he was ready, Troy was not
ready but he said he will be soon.
Last I called Sally and she replied I
3
am ready. Troy's dad will be driving us. As I get ready to walk out the
door, I noticed a book I had once
bought. It was a book full of scary
stories, I knew that I was going to
definitely need this. As I walked over
to Troy's house which was a few
blocks away I figured that I would
read the book along the way.

Even though the book says"True GhostStories", I knew that they were not real.
As I get closer to his house I can see Bill,
Troy, and Sally laughing and having a
great time. I walk over there and greeted
them as we all told jokes. Then Sally
asked me "what was that in my hand"? I
quickly shoved the book in my bag and
replied, "Oh it's just some old book". As
Troy's dad walked outside we all hopped
6
in his car. As we drove their, Bill decided that we sing some campfire
songs. So as time passed by as we
sang we arrived a specific part of the
woods. The sign said Campers Here.
As we all got out of the car we could
see that the woods wasn't too bad
from what it looked like. Troy's dad
said to meet me back here tomorrow
at 12:00, and Troy has a map.

As we stared at the woods, we all slowly started walking to the woods.
This is going to be a piece of cake
Troy said, because I have a map.
We all looked at Troy annoyingly as
steadily kept walking. When it got
12:00 we all sat down and had lunch.
Sally had mashed potatoes with a
side of rice, Troy had pizza, I had
8
chinese food, and Bill gobbled his ribs, with chicken. When we had finished
eating, Troy led us to a small waterfall,
with his map. We used it to clean up,
and we went swimming in it as we had
fun in the fresh clean water. It was
getting dark so we decided to make a
campfire. As I sat there rubbing 2 sticks
together boringly, the others started to
take out their tents for the night. When

I finally fished making the fire, Bill tookout a pot with water and was making us
hot dogs. As well sat down around the
campfire, we heard strange noises from
the forest. Suddenly something came
bolting out of the bushes, Sally jumped
with fear as we all laughed because it
was just a rabbit. Still all sitting around
the fire as it got darker and darker, I
decided that this was the perfect time for

As I tried to think of a story I just then remembered about my book. I went over
to it not trying to let anybody else know
that I have it, flipped through some of
the pages as I tried to remember some of
the stories. I then remembered the story
about the werewolf. I asked everybody if
they want to hear a story, and they all
replied yes. It is a very scary story, but
they all still wanted to hear it. We all

looked at Sally as she questioned us,What? I told her that she might be scared
and should go inside the tent, but she
said that if they can hear it so can I. As
all gathered around the campfire I told
the story The Horrible Werewolf. One
day there was a little girl out on a quest
to deliver food to her grandmother who
was very ill. Her name was Red Riding
Hood. She was gifted with the ability to
14
talk to animals. She stopped to say hi to some of her animal friends, which was a
rabbit, squirrel, beaver, and a blue bird.
They followed her on her journey to
deliver some food to her grandmother.
The journey was long as it got closer to
night, she decided to stop and rest. In the
darkness of the night she saw a shadow
of a animal as it dashed across the thick
bushes. She was very scared and decided
