Once upon a time, in a farm near a big city, there were pink pigs which were not satisfied with their boss, a cranky farmer.
- ‘Let’s escape!’, shouted the mayor of the pig farm. ‘The farmer does not feed us delicious food, and he forgets to put us clean water! We do not deserve that kind of life. Humans do not treat us in a nice way’, he continued.
-‘Yes, let’s go somewhere else; we can make our world better!’, said the oldest pig.
- ‘I heard that the farmer’s son said something about roast pork with fried potatoes; I think that he is not preparing something for us… I also heard that his son is getting married…’, he sighed.

When the sun set, they packed their suitcases and left without making noise, and nobody realized that they were not sleeping until the next morning…
They walked for hours and hours until they arrived at the magical forest on the other side of their country; they walked through it and they found a sunny place, full of yellow flowers and tall green trees.
- ‘What an amazing place!’, said Piggo, the younger pig.
- ‘I want to stay here and play with the beautiful butterflies! Do not fly so quickly!! I can touch you…!!’, he said while he was running behind a purple butterfly.
The pigs were friends for many years, and they believed that this was the best decision that they had ever made in their lives!

The magical forest became their place, and they built their pink wooden houses there. Every house had a garden with a pool full of mud. The pigs were sunbathing, relaxing, drinking lemonade, and reading the newspaper, under colourful umbrellas. They made a wish, and the magic forest made it come true. The pigs were not lazy at all. They started working, and they created a whole village. In the middle of their village, there was a square with a tavern where the pigs played tavli and drank tsipouro at the weekends. Everybody was delighted with this situation and was thankful for the magical forest.

The years passed, and the young pig, Piggo, became older. He grew into a chubby, cute pink pig, with grey small ears. His eyes were sparky light blue and he had a nice smile. His small, fat feet were disturbing him because he could not run fast enough to play with the butterflies anymore. He was a happy, friendly pig; he loved the village, but he was a little bit lazy. He forgot to clean his room, and he always asked the forest to help him with the chores. He preferred cooking delicious cakes and making sweets over cleaning the house. Every day he ate chocolate cake with chocolate milk, croissants, lollipops, pizzas, chips, fizzy drinks- everything that was delicious but unhealthy and fatty.
-‘I love chocolate!’, he told his sister Pigga, ‘I will eat sweets and have a fizzy drink before going outside to swim in the mud. Do you agree?’ ,she asked her.
-‘Oh, Piggo, we have to wash the dishes and clean the kitchen before going out. Mum is tired when he comes back from work.’, said his sister. ‘What a mess!’, she continued.
-‘ No! I am going to ask the magical forest to help me! Magical forest, magical forest, tidy the house, clean the kitchen, wash the dishes!!’, he said loudly.
-‘No, Piggo! Don’t be lazy; everybody helps around the house! Your mum works, your dad works, your sister has to do her homework, help them a little bit! You should do the chores before going out. Every day, I help you! The only thing you do is cook and eat fatty things, watch T.V. and stay under the umbrella in the pool eating chips and chocolate croissants ’, replied the forest strictly…. and… nothing happened; the house was still dirty…
Piggo was angry about this. He went outside with a chocolate croissant, a packet of oregano chips and a bottle of cola. He sat under the umbrella, and he started chewing his delicious food. ‘Οh! I like eating tasty junk food!, he whispered.

-‘Hello my friends! Where are you going? Come and make me company, while I am relaxing under the umbrella. You can swim in my swimming pool if you want!’ said it loudly to his friends who were walking near his house.
-‘Oh, it’s a nice idea!’, said his friends as they entered the garden. They were having fun all together when suddenly the sky became grey and clouds appeared full with water. It started raining, and the pigs moved inside the house.

-‘ I’ve got an idea, my friends!, said Piggo. ‘Let’s order pizza and drink fizzy drinks; when the rain stops, we are going to continue our swimming.’, he added. His friends agreed and were very happy. Piggo was sitting on a small chair, trying to talk with the assistant of the pizzeria , when the foot of the chair broke and Pigo fell to the floor.
-‘Piggo , you are so funny! Ahahaha’, everybody was laughing.
-‘Piggo , you became fat while eating all this junk food, and the chair broke!’, his friends were laughing and making fun of him.

He was so embarrassed that he burst into tears, and he forgot that it was raining when he opened the door to hide in the forest. Pigga, his sister, was very sad about this. ‘Why do all of her friends make fun of him? He is always kind to them.’, she thought.
-‘Everybody is making fun of me; my friends believe that the reason that I am chubby is because I eat unhealthy food. Nobody loves me..’. Piggo started crying loudly under a magical tree, which protected him from the rain.
-‘Why are you crying, my friend’, asked the purple butterfly, and he sat on his shoulder.
-‘I am chubby; I can’t move easily anymore, I can’t run and play with you, the chair broke because I am too heavy, and my friends make fun of me because of that!’, and his blue eyes were again full with tears .
-‘ Don’t cry my friend, said the butterfly softly, ‘I will help you lose weight! And we are starting tomorrow morning. You should start eating healthy food and follow a healthy lifestyle.’
The butterfly kept her promise. Piggo started following a healthy lifestyle, which helped him lose weight and become fit. Firstly, Piggo joined a gym . The exercises he was doing were difficult at first; he was tired and he wanted to give up. The butterfly was there for him, encouraging him to continue.
-‘ You have to try hard if you want to succeed in your goal’, she advised him.
-‘You have to believe in yourself!’, she encouraged him.
The butterfly visited him regularly, and they were cooking healthy meals together. Fruit and vegetables were always on the table.
The butterfly advised him to do the chores in order to keep the house tidy.
-‘You exercise when you do the chores! You exercise in the gym, you exercise in the house! You eat healthy food and soon you will become fit again, like in the old times when you were running behind me and trying to catch me! Remember?, asked the butterfly.
Piggo was very happy because the butterfly was a real friend that helped him in the uncomfortable situation he was in. He stood by his side and made him understand that we should follow a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Health is very important; we feel good with our body shape, we feel nice psychologically when we are outside with our friends.

Piggo’s friends realized the mistake they had made; they should not have made fun of him but they should have advised him to lose weight. They went to his house to apologize. They knocked on his door and Piggo was surprised when he saw them. They asked him to forgive them, and he did! Piggo gave his friends a second chance to become a team again.
They were all swimming in the pool and relaxing under the colourful umbrellas in the garden. Piggo was cooking them healthy food and served them salads and fruit juice.
And they lived happily ever after.
