It is for them to know they can be friends with anyone, even pets!

This is Dusty.

This morning, Dusty was up and ready to go on his morning walk. It had been raining the past few days, so this was his first time going out since then.
Dusty loved his morning walks. At home, he ate breakfast, brushed his teeth, changed his clothes and was typically out the door, even before his shoes were on. However, for today, that was not the case. Dusty felt a little strange in the morning and he even put his shoes on before leaving his house. He had a feeling something was going to happen and he didn't know what, but he still decided to go on his walk.

Throughout his walk, Dusty kept thinking about why he felt strange. At one point he even began pacing back and forth thinking of why he felt that way. After a while though, he continued his walk, trying to brush all of his thoughts off from his mind.

Did I do something different this morning?

Why do I feel this way?
What is it?

I feel strange, but why?

Although he was a bit frustrated, Dusty continued to walk.

After walking for a while, Dusty stopped and took time to calm down. Dusty knew it was okay to feel frustrated. He had learned on previous walks, how to control his emotions. Dusty decided to do what he did best by first, putting on a proud smile. Afterwards, Dusty continued walking, along with breathing in and out, at a steady pace, as he knew that was what helped him calm down.

Dusty knew the path he took on his daily walks and could even describe it in his sleep. He knew when things were out of place and one thing Dusty had never seen, was what was inside this tiny, little wooden home, let alone, had he ever heard noises coming from it. Dusty, being the curious boy he was, decided to check it out.

Dusty peeked into the window of the house. He saw jars full of things that he was not sure of, except he did recognize the jars that had candy. His eyes then shifted to a box he saw and realized it was full of candies as well. The very next thing his eyes shifted to, was very much unexpected, but yet very intriguing.

Dusty saw a dog. He was very shocked, but confused at the same time. He had heard the dog whining even before looking through the window. Dusty knew he had to get the dog out. There was no doors to the house, no way to get inside, but Dusty knew he had to do something somehow, to get the dog out and what he did, was break the window open.

Dusty had made it in the house and had successfully taken the dog out. Although Dusty was happy, he noticed that the dog was not. Even though Dusty knew he had to get back to his house on time to catch the school bus, that did not stop him from taking the dog with him.

Dusty and the dog continued their way back home, when suddenly, Dusty came up with the brilliant idea of naming the dog...
