Once upon a time, there were three friends.
Frenchy, Hammy, and Mr. Water.

One day Hammy was feeling very sad and his
friends didn't know why.

Hammy, what's wrong?

But just as Hammy was about to tell them, an
elf came in and saw them. This made Hammy
grow a BIG smile on his face! He knew he was
about to be ingested!

Hammy knew he was about to go on the
adventure he had always dreamed of. Going
through the deep, dark digestive system!

Hammy started his way into the elves mouth.
He could feel the elves' salivary glands
secreting ptyalin and increasing the amount of
saliva to help him go down the pharynx.

Frenchy and Mr. Water were really dizzy. They
could tell this adventure was gonna be quick.
they felt the epiglottis quick! and down they
went, right after Hammy, to the
esophagus. They knew exactly what kind of
digestion this was, mechanical.

Hammy turned into bolus finally. He was so
happy! He could feel that propulsion! He could
hear his friends right above him. An right
before he hit the stomach he felt the lower
esophageal sphincter open up to let him in.

Hammy and his friends finally met back up in
the stomach. With Hammy and Frenchy having
carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins they knew
they were in for a treat! With the stomach
secreting acids and his powerful enzymes like
pepsin, elastase, nuclease, and the pancreatic
amylase that helps in the process down. This
type of digestion is called chemical digestion.

Enzymes produced by the pancreas are secreted into the
small intestine to further break down food after it has left
the stomach. The gland also produces the hormone insulin and
secretes it into the blood stream in order to regulate the
body's glucose level. Between meals, they're non-liquefiable
remnants are released from the stomach and pushed through
the rest of the intestines to be eliminated. but the liquefied
substance of each one make their way down to the small
intestine, which has three different parts. The duodenum,
ileum, and jejunum. With the liver processing of nutrients
that are absorbed from the small intestine it also plays an
imperative role in digesting fat and helping getting rid of bile
along with the gallbladder.
