I would like to dedicate this book to Sam, the fictionalmain character in this story.
Perhaps the person who first
theorized time travel as well.
And my teacher who assigned this project to me.

LAST TIME: A regular middle-class business
man, Sam, purchased a strange transparent
pocket watch from a garage sale near his offices,
not realizing its true potential. After a long day at
work, Sam arrived home late, watch in hand.
When the hand struck midnight, Sam began to
fade in and out of corporeal existence before the
astonished eyes of his wife and dog. He found
himself enveloped in the strangely blue fabric of
time, and floated around for ages. Just when he
gave up hope of escape, he landed in the middle
of ancient Greece. Sam was drafted into the
Trojan War, but disappeared whilst still on a boat
due to his watch striking midnight. Not that it
bothers him, anyway.

Sam slowly finds himself appearing at the gates of
a large castle. He looks around as his body once again
solidifies. One of the guards stationed by the door
takes notice of the man with strange clothes. "Hey,
who goes there!" he yells, startling Sam. "I am Sam,
of New York City." Sam states calmly. The guard
dismisses the idea of a new York, as he had never
heard of it. However, he allows the man to continue.
"I've popped by to tour your castle, if at all possible."
The guard looked stunned. "How... How... dare you!
Tour the castle Hillstone! Who do you think you are?"
"I am Sam." Sam said blatantly. He didn't stop to think
about the differences between this time period and the
last. He just remembered having to be forceful in
Greece.

"The way you speak of yourself..." The guard replied,
"You must be a knight?" Sam thought for a moment,
then said "Yes, yes I am. I am Sir. Samuel of Bronx."
"Did you not say that you were from the new city of
York?" The guard asked skeptically. "I am. Bronx is the
name of our castle, and our king." "What business do
you have at our castle?" the guard asked. "I have an
urgent message for your king." Sam replied cleverly.
This seemed to be enough for the guard, as he ended
the conversation, and called for the guard on the
inside to open the gate. Sam thanked the guard, then
entered, the large doors slamming shut behind him.
Sam did not have a plan, other than to climb to the
top of a tower and get his bearings. Sam found the
tallest unguarded tower in the castle, and began
