Roald Dahl’s childhood is filled with all sorts of things that makes him sad. When Roald Dahl was three years old, his beloved father and sister passed away. Later on, he was abused by his classmates in boarding school and he was always upset by it.

After he graduated high school, he travelled everywhere and started working Tanzania to pursue his dream and be a children’s book author.

Matila

This book is about a girl called Matilda. She self taught herself to read a lot of famous books such as Animal Farm, Olivier Twist and Great Expectations. She went to a school where her teacher, Mrs Honey, thought Matilda was very extraordinary. Mrs Honey invited Matilda to her house to have a talk. She told Matilda that she lived in a big house and a lot of money until her aunt took it away when her father passed away. Then, Matilda found out about Mrs Honey’s aunt and her powers. So, she helped Mrs Honey to take back the things she owned and they lived together happily forever.
My favourite charactor is Matilda because she is very smart and she taught herself how to read.
I like this book very much because it is not hard to read and it is easy to understand. The book even has a lot of exciting parts. So, the readers will be very amused and surprised by the story.
I would recommend this book to my classmates. Because even if you don’t like reading, this book can make you feel like you are one of the characters in the story, especially if you like big changes or plot twists in the book while reading.
