Hello class,
Take a look at this storybook that I have created. You will use the information that you find within the pages of this book to create your very own book! Read each page carefully so that you will know what to do and will get an A on this project!
This week we have been learning about hurricanes. A hurricane is a large storm that forms over the warm ocean waters. Hurricanes can range in strength, we determine the strength of a hurricane by the wind speed.

Categories are given based on the wind speed as a way to classify how strong a hurricane is. A weak hurricane is classified as a category 1. The highest classification is a category 5, this is given to hurricanes that have very strong winds!

Hurricanes are very dangerous to people that live near the oceans. Hurricanes can cause huge amounts of damage! The National Hurricane Center tracks the path of a hurricane. Predications of where the hurricane will come ashore give people advance warning before the hurricane happens in an effort to allow people to move to a safer location until the storm passes.

Now it's your turn!!
Take a look at the next few pages in my book and you will find out how I want you to create your storybook for this project! Pay close attention to directions that are given, and if you do, you are sure to earn an A for all your hard work! Good luck and best wishes and don't forget to ask, if you have any questions!
