Once upon a time there was a radish named
Ralpho.

All of the other radishes called Ralpho mean
names because they thought he was
annoying. Their favorite insult was calling him
Ralpho the ridiculous radish.

But one day Ralpho was chosen out of all the
other radishes to be eaten by the Piper family -
which is a big honor in the radish community.
Ralpho was the lucky radish that Little Patrice
Piper ate that one fateful day whenever her
brain told her to eat through the nervous
system.

Yum radishes!
Ralpho went into mouth where the teeth broke
down his nutrients into smaller pieces and
salivary glands made him moist so he could go
down the esophagus easier.

Ralpho then made his way down the esophagus where he
then landed in the stomach. He was a little afraid whenever
the stomach began using the glands in the stomach lining
to break down protein using a digestive enzyme, but then
he relaxed when he realized that the nutrients being taken
from him were going to fuel the rest of Patrice. "Wow!"
Ralpho said, "I sure am helpful!"

Ralpho landed in the small intestine where
enzymes in the walls absorbed his nutrients
and transported them throughout the rest of
her body with help from the circulatory
system.

I'm so helpful! His adventure continued when the muscular
system continued to push Ralpho through the
digestive system. He then landed in the
pancreas. The enzymes from the pancreas
began to break down all the carbs, proteins,
and fats that were found in Ralpho. "If only my
friends could see me now!" Ralpho said
proudly.

I'm so helpful!
But the adventure didn't stop there! Ralpho
was then taken to the liver where bile that is
held by the gallbladder between meals and
then pushed into the liver when it is needed
began to digest more of Ralpho to get to those
gosh-darn nutrients.

He finally landed in the large intestine where
water and all remaining nutrients are absorbed
and combined with older cells to be made from
a liquid form into stool.

It doesn't smell too great in here. You've previewed 10 of 16 pages.
