Once upon a time, there was a titan named Prometheus.
Prometheus was very gentle and did not like to fight.
Prometheus had the gift of forethought and could predict the
future.
His father, Iapetus, started a war with the Greek gods.
Two of Prometheus's brothers went with their father,
however Prometheus and his brother Epimetheus sided with
the gods.

Prometheus and his brother went on a journey from
Mt. Olympus to Earth to visit the Greek province of Boitia.
They molded figures out of clay and the Greek goddess,
Athena, breathed life into them.
Prometheus was in charge of molding man, and his brother
molded animals.
Zeus, the god of gods, was angered that the brothers for
creating humans and animals and forbade them to teach
mankind the ways of civilization.
Athena, Zeus's daughter, didn't listen to Zeus and taught
Prometheus how to teach mankind.

Zeus was mad at Prometheus and mankind for what they did.
He forbade Prometheus to give mankind the gift of fire as an
act of anger.
Prometheus being the gentle man he is wanted to give
mankind as much as he could and tried his hardest to give
them the gift of fire. Zeus knew Prometheus would try to steal
the fire, so he had Mt. Olympus guarded so Prometheus
couldn't get in.
One night, Prometheus went through a back door Athena told
him about and stole the fire.

"I can't believe you would do this to me! The fire was all mine
and you took it to give to mankind!" said Zeus when he
confronted Prometheus.
Prometheus felt guilty for what he did, but he knew what he
had to do.
Zeus was not merciful and was planning to punish
Prometheus.

Zeus went to every Greek god and got a gift from each. From
this collection of gifts, he created the very first woman,
Pandora.
Zeus placed all the horrors in the world in the box and was
planning to give it to Prometheus as revenge for what he did.
Once Zeus finished collecting all the horror and evil he was
placing in the box, he gave the box to Pandora to give to
