Finding the Million Dollar Arm"Hey Rinku." said JB "I am going to Spain for the next Million Dollar
Arm, and I was wondering if you and Dinesh would like to come help
find the next foreign pitcher."
"That would be a honor to go with you sir, Dinesh would also like to
come." Rinku said, "When will we be leaving?"
"Well, I am going to fly to India to pick you both up and we will
leave on April, 14th from India"
"Okay sir, we will see you soon!"
JB flew from Los Angeles, California to India to meet up with the
guys. From there they traveled to Madrid, Spain to start the Million
Dollar Arm. They had the first audition in Barcelona. JB noticed that
many of the kids could not throw a baseball because the main sport
in Spain is soccer. Rinku was let down by the pitching just as JB was
too. Even though many kids were not that talented, but there were
a few that stood out to all three of the men. From Barcelona they
went to Valencia where the talent shined. Many kids were throwing
in the low eighties to high eighties.

As they go around the county they found very good pitchers and
very bad pitchers. Once they get to Valladolid they found the one,
Carlos Ramirez. He could throw high eighties to low nineties, but the
problem with Carlos was his release point. Sometimes it would send
the ball fifteen feet in the air or right into the ground. After going
around Spain, JB, Rinku, and Dinesh picked the ten best pitchers in
Spain, Carlos was among the ten. They decided to hold the finals in
Madrid. At first, JB made them pitch three pitches and the top five
speeds advanced to the next round in the finals. When the top five
were determined they had to throw three more pitches and then the
best pitcher was brought back to Los Angeles to train at USC with
Coach House.

Training the Million Dollar ArmAs Carlos arrives in the U.S for the first, time everything appears
different because he has never been out of Spain. After a couple
days in the U.S, Carlos got to training. He goes to USC where Rinku
and Dinesh trained. JB was filled with memories seeing the field
again. Carlos was introduced to Coach House. Coach House got him
straight into training. When they started pitching, Carlos kept
getting the speed but was releasing to late. Coach House had an
easy solution to help that. Whenever Carlos pitched he dipped his
front shoulder below his pitching shoulder. So to correct it, Coach
House made sure to keep Carlos's shoulders level. After many
months of practicing and training, Carlos was improving drastically.
One day JB got a phone call from Coach House.
"Hello?" Coach House said scared.
"What's up."said JB" Is there something wrong?"
"Yes, Carlos just dislocated his shoulder! We are here on the field
and we need you to come quickly."

"Okay I'll be right there!"
JB hung up and ran to his car. As he drove up to USC, he saw the
medical trainer, Coach House, and many people in a circle at the
pitchers mound. JB was filled with fright as he saw Carlos laying on
the ground in pain. JB was so scared because Carlos was his last
chance to keep his business and if he could not pitch, JB was done
being a sports agent. JB took Carlos to the closest emergency room
and learned that his injury was not major but he would have to take
a month rest from pitching in order for his shoulder to heal
properly. Carlos was supposed to have a tryout in the next two
weeks, but they now had to push it two months later. Once Carlos
healed, he got back to training with Coach House. Since Carlos was
out so long Coach House was making him do double the work so he
could nail the tryout. As the days passed by so fast, the tryout came
closer until it was the day.

Because of the first mistake that they made holding the tryout in
Arizona, they decided to hold it at USC so Carlos could be more
comfortable pitching on the mound that he was used to. On the day
of the tryout, many scouts filled the seats of USC to see if JB's
second experiment would be successful as the first. As Carlos took
the mound in front of many people for the first time his heart
started beating like a drum. JB strolled out to the pitchers mound to
give a word of advise.
"Hey" said JB "Are you nervous?"
"Yes, Sir" Carlos replied
"So am I" JB said "Carlos, I want you to know that you have
changed my life tremendously and you have came a long way and I
have enjoyed watching you grow in your pitching. Just think about
all you can do for your parents and yourself. Just remember that
you can do it! You're a amazing pitcher!"
"Thank you Sir, its been an honor working with you and Coach
House. You also have changed my life, this is a huge opportunity for

me. As JB left the mound, Carlos cleared his head of everything
but pitching. For Carlos to make a MLB team, he would need to be
able to hit his spots almost every time, also he would need to
pitch in the low nineties. As Carlos pitched, he kept hitting ninety
MPH with great accuracy. Once the tryout was done JB had faith
in Carlos on making a MLB team. A few days later JB got a phone
call from the Tampa Bay Rays that they want Carlos and JB to fly
out to Tampa and take a look at their facility. Shortly after the
tour around the park they offered Carlos a MLB contract. Carlos
accepted their off and was ready to get back to work with his new
team and teammates. Once the season started Carlos was one of
the best pitchers in the Tampa Bay Rays starting rotation and still
is today.
