1.The sowing of flowers

 The farmer living in a village called Hershel loves sunflowers and the reason for his love is that it not only gives him peace and happiness butalsoprovides money for his living. This man has been dealing with this business for years and loves his farms and products. He is very successful in his job.At the beginning of April, he went to town to buy sunflower seeds. He took the seeds and then planted them in his field with love. After a while the seeds started to grow.  

They were all beautiful but one day, he realized that of all the sunflowers in his field, two of them were more beautiful, attractive and healthier than others. He loved them very much and gave them the names “Sunny” and “Rosie”. Whenever he went to his field, he always talked with them and watered them with love. Unfortunately, the time for harvest came. He didn’t want to harvest Sunny and Rosie but he didn’t have any chance not to harvest them.

              2.The  Life in the field

In the beautiful and colorful field, the two sunflowers grew  side by side. One had bright yellow petals and a big brown center full of seeds, while the other had deep red petals and a black center that was also full of seeds. The name of first was Sunny and the name of  the second was Rosie. They both enjoyed the warmth of the sun and the gentle touch of the wind.

Every day, they would look up at the sky and admire the

different shapes and colors of the clouds.They also loved

listening to the sounds of nature: the rustling of the

leaves, the chirping of the birds, and the buzzing of the

bees.

    Sunny and Rosie were good friends, even though they

were different. They enjoyed each other's company and

supported each other through the challenges of growing in the field.

 3. The harvest

    Sunny and Rosie were watching the clouds togerher in a sunny day. Then, suddenly, they heard some machine sounds and saw two men coming towardsnthem. The men were talking about “the Harvest” . Sunny asked Rosie in fear.

“What are these sounds?”

“I  think they are coming to harvest us.”

“oh, no.”

“Don’t talk like that, we will be  such nutrituous food for your people.”

“But we were so happy here. Also, we won’t be together anymore.”

The men started up the machines and started harvesting. They started with Sunny. Seeing her friend getting harvested, Rosie started crying, but when she saw Sunny was happy, she calmed down.

Finally it was her turn. She joined her friend and waited her friends to be harvested in the tractor.

       4.Conversion to oil

Once upon a time, there were two sunflowers standing  tall in a vast field of yellow. They had been basking in the sun for weeks and had grown tall and strong. One sunny  afternoon, a farmer came along and plucked the two sunflowers from the ground.The farmer explained that they were going to be turned into oil, which could be used for cooking, fuel, and other purposes.At first, the sunflowers were sad to hear this news. They had enjoyed their time in the field.

They wondered if their lives had been in vain, if their sole purpose was to be turned into oil.

But then the farmer explained that their oil would be used to nourish and sustain people and machines. The sunflowers realized that their purpose was not just to stand tall and look beautiful, but to also provide a valuable resource that could benefit others.

So, the two sunflowers were taken to a processing plant where they were pressed to extract their oil. They were transformed from tall flowers into a  golden liquid.

Although they had lost their physical form, the sunflowers were content knowing that their oil would be used to cook meals, fuel cars and trucks, and power machines, and that made them feel proud.

5.Bottling and sale

It's time for a big field full of sunflowers grown with love by the sun to enter the bottle. Although they will no longer be able to see that beautiful sun, they will sometimes shine like the sun through a small glass bottle as oil with their wonderful yellow color. Sometimes they will try to drip from the lid of a larger plastic drum.But of course Rosie and Sunny's choice was to come together in healthy and recyclable glass bottles. And their wish came true, they were placed side by side on a small but decorated shelf. 

.After that, they stood side by side on the shelf, waiting for an eco-friendly customer to purchase them. They waited to be bought, thinking of the person who would cook the healthiest meals with the most delicious oils, and they never got bored.And Rosie and Sunny were bought and settled in the kitchen by an environmentally conscious, conscious mother who would fry her children for a wonderful Sunday breakfast.

         6.Life in the house    (Conscious Family) 

     The Wilson family is an educated family that cares about the environment they live in and tries to raise their children consciously and respectfully towards nature. She is very meticulous about zero waste and pays attention to throwing her waste into recycling bins. One day, her daughter Elif, who wants to fry, realizes that there is no oil left in the house. She goes to buy oil from the market in the neighborhood.             

7.Life in the house -  ( Unconscious family) 

The Smith family goes to the grocery store to shop. Rosie, separated from her friend Sunny, is waiting sadly on the shelf. Mrs Smith, who wants to buy oil, chooses Rosie. Finally they go home. Observing the Smith family, Rosie is surprised and uneasy by what she sees. Because the Smith family is a rather unconscious, disrespectful and impudent family. 

8.The way to the sea

Once upon a time, in a small coastal town, the residents loved their ocean and wanted to keep it clean. They used a lot of sunflower oil for frying delicious food. However, they didn't know how to dispose of the leftover oil properly. They started pouring the used cooking oil down the drain, thinking it would disappear. But they didn't realize that this was harming the environment. The pipes couldn't handle the oil, causing leaks and polluting the water.

 The contaminated water reached the river and then the sea, harming the marine life. The oil-covered water suffocated the coral reefs and made it difficult for fish and birds to survive. When the townspeople learned about the damage they had caused, they felt guilty and decided to make a change. They set up recycling programs to collect and recycle the used oil, turning it into biofuel.

9.The way to recycling

What about Rosie ? Rosie was disappointed because noone bought it. It stayed for a long time in the market shelves, alone.Finally a young man bought it. Rosie thought that it might be the day it always dreamed of. This guy paid the Money and took Rosie to his home. He was about to make sarma with Turkish yoghurt. After  he cooked the meals, he throwed the waste oil to sink. Rosie has never thought that it will be treated like that. At these moments, Sunny was happy because Wilson family was conscious. 

After months Sunny passed away and the Wilson family wanted to buy a new one. They went to the market, to the oil section, but they couldn’t find any oil bottle. They asked to the cashier and learnt that the oils were over because noone cared about recycling and preventing the waste of oil. That young man was also in the market to buy a new oil bottle. He also asked to cashier and learnt the things that Wilson family has learned. He remembered Rosie and regretted what he has done. Moreover  he promised himself to recycle and  reuse.

10.The Value of recycling

Sunny is sent to factories instead of being poured into the sink. In factories, sunny feels very happy because instead of polluting the environment, the rusted parts of the machines there or being recycled and used as machine oil will benefit the environment.Sunny: ‘I am very happy that I do not pollute the environment and that I am recycled and useful again.

Rosie : ‘Now that I can be recycled and reused, there is nothing 

I can do to avoid polluting the environment. However, they unknowingly 

risk their own lives.I will harm the water they drink and the fish they eat. 

I dont want this. Not to harm them, I want to be recycled. That's why I'm so sorry.’
