          THE MYTH OF

          FOOFOOPUSS

One day in Olympus, a baby boy was born. His parents were 

Aphrodite and Poseidon. They named him "Foofoopuss."

At a young age, Foofoo ran away his parents and lived 

in a cave on Mount Olympus. He grabbed everything he 

wanted and boy, did he grab a lot!

Meanwhile, in Greece, there was a volcano on 

the verge of eruption. All of the villagers 

were concerned with the volcanic activity, 

except for Chacha. She could sense that 

there was conflict occurring in the sky. While 

others were fretting over their homes, she 

cared about the Gods. At once the villager 

knew she had to do something to help them. 

But what?

Chacha called for a town meeting at once.

"I can sense the Gods are about to have a huge feud!" she 

announced. "We must make sacrifices help them!"

"How about no!" said one townsman.

"Don't be silly! We have a volcano about to destroy our city 

and you want to help the Gods?" exclaimed another.

They stormed out leaving Chacha to aid the Gods herself.

Back in the sky, Poseidon and his 

son were having an evil 

conversation. 

Foofoopuss knew he'd obtained almost 

everything in the Heavens, so it was time 

to move on to the mortals' world.

Poseidon agreed to flood one village at a 

time so Foofoopuss could go down and 

grab all the floating articles.

"Mwahahahahahahahahaha!" laughed 

Foofoopuss.   

Poseidon flooded Chacha's village, 

and Foofoo managed to obtain 

quite a bit of garbage, including a 

boot, 2 houses, some 

strawberries, and stones. This 

wasn't enough to satisfy 

Foofoopuss, however. He wanted 

to control the world, not just 

everything on it. But how could he 

achieve this? 

Back in the sky, Poseidon and Foofoopuss were 

discussing an evil plot. Foofoo had decided that it would 

be easier to obtain whatever he desired if he had a 

magical power. They agreed that Zeus's lightning bolt 

would be a perfect power source. But how could they get 

it? If only Zeus would drop his thunderbolt...

The evil God team finally formulated 

a plan. Poseidon shot an arrow at 

Zeus, and although the target 

couldn't be maimed by this weapon, 

he was startled and, therefore, he 

dropped his magical bolt. Foofoopuss 

lunged for it, grabbed it, and ran off, 

now in possession of more power 

than he'd ever dreamed of.

It began to rain at once. Chacha 

realized she must hurry up before a 

God dispute destroyed her village! 

All of a sudden, an idea struck her 

head: perhaps she'd been thinking 

wrong! Many of the items in the 

flood had disappeared; maybe there 

was a thief God, and if he found 

nothing more to steal, he'd stop! She 

grabbed a basket and busied herself 

collecting items to protect.
