One day the goddess of peace/mayhem was
walking in the woods, wishing for a friend. As a
child, she was always mischievous. She was the
one who caused many wars, so Zeus had to
watch her carefully. As she walked through the
woods, she sat on a rock and sang a beautiful
melody. She had gifts from both of her parents,
Apollo and Athena. She has the wisdom of war
and many other things, and also the harmony
and song from her father, but her powers start
to differentiate at that point. She has the power
to control hearts. She knows a heart’s melody
and can use that melody to cause peace or
mayhem.

When she was born, Zeus and Ares fought over where
she would live, and who she would use her powers for.
Obviously, Zeus won. Yet, Ares still had his eyes on
her, waiting until the day that she would come to his
side. As the goddess sang in the woods, there was
another girl, a rich girl. Her name was Juliet. She came
to Olympus to watch the Olympics, but got lost and
wandered in the woods. She wandered, and wandered.
She then, suddenly heard a beautiful melody, “What is
that sound?” she said. She desperately looked around,
searching for the voice of the melody.

Then she saw her, a beautiful girl, about sixteen years
old. She was singing a song with no words, but even
with just that, it was beautiful. Juliet walked closer,
forgetting that she could seen. (The song was that
good) As she walked closer, the goddess instantly
turned around. The goddess and the mortal looked at
each other, astonished. “Umm, hi?” said the goddess.
“Hi.” said Juliet with a shaky voice. That’s when the
goddess noticed, “Are you a human?” she asked. “Y-
yes.” stampered Juliet, as she actually sees the
goddess’s whole face, which was in fact, beautiful.
“Really?!” the goddess stood up from the rock and ran
towards Juliet. Juliet flinched.

“Is it okay if we…” the goddess’s voice trailed
off, “become friends?” Juliet’s eyes brightened.
“Of course!” “You promise?” said the goddess
raising an eyebrow, “Of course!” and Juliet
taught the goddess how to pinkie promise.

They talked and enjoyed their time together. Since
Juliet was a young child, she believed the goddess, “So,
I haven’t asked. What is your name?” asked Juliet, as
looked at her new friend. “Pollena. It’s both of my
parent’s names combined.” Pollena stated. “Who are
your parents?” asked Juliet. “Apollo and Athena. The
poll, is from Apollo, and the ena, is from Athena.”
“Wow, thats cool.” exclaimed Juliet. “No, not that
much. I don't see them often. My dad is busy, like,
really busy. My mom on the other hand…” Pollena
looked away. “I’ve never seen her.” Juliet was
confused, “Why?” “Well, because she’s the goddess of
wisdom and war. She’s even more busy than dad. Plus,
when I was little, I caused a lot of wars. I must be
annoying. And she wasn’t supposed to get a child
anyways.” said Pollena.

“Why?” Juliet asked again. “Well, she’s a….I don’t know"
Pollena thought for a moment, "You know Medusa, right?”
Pollena looked at Juliet. “Yeah?” “It’s because she fell in
love with a god and my mom turned her into a…..how
should I say it…..a bad-looking women, who needs a
haircut.” she looked at Juliet, hoping for a result of
understanding, but Juliet only looked confused, “You
know what, never mind.” She’ll probably get it when she
grows up. Thought Pollena “Pollena.” said Juliet. “Yeah?”
Pollena looked at Juliet, “What's your power?” she looked
at Pollena with curiosity. “Well, I can control hearts.”
“Really?!” said Juliet surprisingly, “Yeah, but I’m still
being trained by Grandpa Zeus. My powers haven’t fully
awakened.” Juliet looked disappointed when she heard
this, “Don’t worry, I can still sing.” Pollena said grinning,
Juliet smiled.

Years passed.....
Pollena and Juliet were playing in the field, “This is where
Persephone was taken by Hades.” Pollena said, looking
around the flower scattered valley. Juliet looked at her, “Hey,
Pollena.” Pollena turned around. “When I saw you, you were
about the same age I am now, right?” Juliet said with a
questioning look. "How come you don't look any older, from
the day we met?" Pollena raised an eyebrow, “Juliet, you do
know I’m a goddess, right?” said Pollena, looking at Juliet,
making sure she hasn’t forgot. When Pollena said this, she
felt sad. She knew deep inside that, she’s immortal, and
Juliet's not. One day, Juliet will… "Pollena, don't you love
roses, I do. They're my favorite flower." Juliet said as she
smelled a rose. "Yeah, yeah. Sure." Pollena wasn't paying
attention. Juliet went across the field in search of more roses,
then, the sky went black, and Pollena knew what
that meant.

She heard a horrid laugh, she turned toward the direction of
Juliet and heard a scream, her eyes widened, she instantly
teleported to the direction of the scream. In a second, she
was in front of Juliet, with her arms in front of her as
protection. “Seems like you’ve grown to be quite a lady.” the
god said. The god that Pollena was looking at, was Ares.
“What do you want?” she said glaring at him and pushing
Juliet behind her. “Nothing.” he said smirking, “I know you're
here for something, spit it out.” demanded Pollena. Ares’s
smirk disappeared, “Come to the world of war, come to my
side.” he said stretching out his hand. Juliet was trembling,
“Who do you think I am?” Pollena said, as she put her hand to
her chest, “I’m smarter than you,” she stares at Ares, “I am
the daughter of wisdom and war. I am the daughter of poetry
and harmony.” she points at him, “I am far more greater than
you!” her finger was so close to his face, that it practically
went up his nose.

By this he was so angered, “Since you refused my
offer, and you insulted me. I will cast a spell of war
upon you!” as he yelled, he raised his hand and a
dark cloud surrounded him and he vanished. Juliet
was still trembling, “I-is he gone?” Juliet said
coming out from Pollena’s back, “Yeah, but he’s
going to be back.” Pollena said looking at the spot
where Ares disappeared.
“Pollena, is what he said, about the war, true?” she
looked at Pollena with sad eyes. Pollena didn’t want
to lie, “I don’t know.” Pollena said, as she shook her
head in anger and sadness.
Juliet returned to her castle, she greeted the
servents and she was going to the throne room,
when,“What did you say?!” she heard her mother
scream.

“It is true! They have declared war on us!” her
father also screamed, Juliet burst into the room,
“War?!” she said almost yelling, “With who?!” her
eyes were frantic. So it was true! she thought.
“With a kingdom that we’ve never even met!”
yelled her mother, Juliet knew this was serious,
because her mother never yelled. Juliet went back
to the valley, “Pollena! Pollena!” she looked around
and saw Pollena staring out in space, singing.
“Pollena!” Pollena turned around, and from the way
Juliet is yelling, Pollena already knew. “It
happened.” Pollena whispered to herself.

“Pollena!” Juliet came running toward her and stopped
breathless, “Pollena, it happened, it happened. War is
happening!” she looked up into Pollena’s eyes, with tears
filling her own. “What should I do?!” she screamed.
“Calm down.” Pollena said, even though she was
panicking herself. “Let’s try to fix everything out.” she
said grabbing unto Juliet’s trembling shoulders. “Talk to
your parents to try to make them snap out of it, Ares can
make anyone crazy and blood thirsty.” she pointed
toward the direction of Juliet’s castle, “Go, I’ll be with
you in my human form.” instantly Pollena transformed
into a young lady, about 20. She was still beautiful, with
long blonde hair. “Let’s go.” they walked straight to the
castle. With the human form of Pollena, everyone will see
her as a servant, or of just somebody who's not
mysterious.

They went to the throne room, where Juliet’s parents
were arranging an army and getting ready for war.
“Mother, stop listen to me!” said Juliet, but her mother
ignored her. She looked at her father, “Father!” but he
too, was ignoring her. She stared at them, “It’s as if
they can’t hear me.” Juliet said, tears starting in her
eyes.
Pollena put her hand on Juliet’s shoulder, “I wasn’t the
only one who caused all the wars.” her eyes narrowed,
“This is Ares’s way to get what he wants.” she looked at
Juliet, “Can you somehow get their attention?” said
Pollena, looking for a way to snap them out of it. Juliet
sadly shook her head.
Pollena bit her lip, wishing her powers would awaken
sooner, so she could make everything back to normal.

Days and days past, and war got worse. One
day there was a dance in the kingdom, Juliet
thought it was an opportunity to talk to her
parents, but she didn’t know it was a
masquerade ball, so when she attended the
dance, she couldn’t recognize her parents, and
desperately looked around for them. Her eyes fell
on a boy, who was watching her. He walked up to
her and bowed, charmingly. “May I please I have
this dance?” he said looking into her eyes. Juliet
was happy she was wearing a mask, because she
was blushing. They danced and danced, and Juliet
invited him to the balcony, they looked into each
others eyes and fell in love.

Just then their parents pulled them apart, “Juliet, how dare you be
with this hooligan!” Juliet’s mother gasped. “Romeo, how dare you
dance with her.” Romeo's father said looking disgustedly at Juliet.
“How dare you-” “I’ve never-” “If I could-” their parents argued and
they separated Juliet and Romeo. Juliet's parents told her that
Romeo's parents, are the ones that declared war against them.
That night, Juliet could not stop thinking of Romeo, she was
lovestrucked. She began to cry. Pollena was about to enter her
room, but she saw everything about Juliet and Romeo, and closed
her eyes sadly. She truly wished that she could use her powers, but
she couldn't. She turns away and leaves Juliet.
That night Romeo crept up the castle and met with Juliet, she
almost squealed, but he hushed her. “Oh my Juliet.” he says in a
soft voice, “Oh my Romeo.” they fell deeper in love, Pollena was
also watching this, she narrowed her eyes and watched as Romeo
left with a goodbye kiss.

The next morning, “Juliet! Snap out of it! We need to focus on the war!”
Pollena said waving her arms in the air, “I know you love that human boy,
but please, let us focus on the war!” Juliet wasn’t even listening. Angry,
that her friend has totally ignored her, Pollena turns away and teleports to
the throne room. “They have killed many of our troops!” the king yelled.
“Send soldiers to attack the royal family!” the king released many soldiers
to the battlefield. No! thought Pollena, she needed to stop this, now! She
went to the king and even though she was a goddess, and even though
she didn’t want to do it, she pleaded to him, “Please stop this!” she said
running to the king, disgusted that she’s pleading to a human. “ Please
stop this! You’ll make it worse!" she screamed at the king, the king just
stared at her, since she was in her human form, she looked like a servant,
“A servant, telling me what to do. Ha!” he pointed to the dungeon, “Off
with you!” the guards came and towed Pollena away, “Please stop this!
You’ll ruined everything! Stop this now!” she scrambled from the guards,
“Silence!” the king glared at her, “You have no right to speak to me! You
are just a mere servant!” he said, little bits of spit coming out of his
mouth. Well, you are just a mere human! thought Pollena.

“No! Stop!”something popped into the mind of Pollena,
“You’ll make the gods angry! Please don’t continue with
this war!” he stared at her and laughed, “Gods? Ha!” he
pointed at her, “I am the god here!” he smiled with
darkness, “I am far more greater than you!” that’s when it
struck Pollena. Those were my words to Ares, this is all of
Ares’s fault! “No! Sto-” Pollena was interrupted, “Enough! Off
with her head!” the king yelled, but Pollena was the one who
had enough, she teleported in front the king, he was
strucked back into his throne, by shock, “Listen to me!”
Pollena pointed into his face, but before she could say
anything, “We have not accomplish to kill the whole royal
family, but we accomplished to kill the prince!” said a soldier
saluting. No! Pollena was pushed away by the king, “Perfect!
Now let’s kill the whole family!” the king was laughing. He
laughed a laughter full of evil. Pollena was on her knees.

Before, whenever she came to visit the king in another human form,
he was always a kind man, he always smiled, but now, as she
looked at the king, she thought. He is just possessed by madness.
The people in the room rejoiced to the death of the prince. Pollena
looked away in shame. She teleported into Juliet’s room, she looked
at the daydreaming Juliet. She knew it was better if Juliet didn’t
know, but it’s better if she told her now, because she also knew that
it was better than Juliet loving someone, who wasn’t even alive. She
walked up to Juliet, Juliet turned around, “Pollena!” she said happily,
but then, she looked closely at Pollena, “What’s wrong?” Pollena
looked into the eyes of her friend, then she looked away, “Romeo….”
she closed her eyes shamefully, Juliet looked at her with confusion,
“What did you say?”
