Chicken Tiny loves to walk through town to the
baseball diamond where he plays every Sunday
afternoon. He likes to pretend he’s in the middle of a
game and he hit a home run.

He also likes to sit under the apple tree behind the
bleachers. One day when Chicken Tiny was laying
under the apple tree an apple fell and hit him in the
noggin.

“Oh my, Oh my,” Chicken Tiny screamed. “The sky is falling; I must run
and tell the others!”
He runs and runs. Finally he runs into Henny Lenny. “Whoa, what’s
going on Chicken Tiny?”
“My, oh, my, just the person I’m looking for! The sky is falling Henny!”
“Well, we must go tell Mr. Tiny, your dad, Chicken Tiny!”
“Yes, we must,” Chicken Tiny replied.
So they ran and ran until they knocked over Lucky Ducky.
“Where are you guys off too,” Lucky Ducky said excitedly?
“Lucky Ducky, The sky is falling! It hit Chicken Tiny right in the head,”
yelled Henny Lenny!
“We have to tell my dad,” ruffled Chicken Tiny.

Lucky Ducky joined the group and they ran and ran.
All of a sudden they heard a noise. It sounded like it
was coming from the sky. When they looked up they
saw nothing. So they kept running, faster and faster.
Chicken Tiny saw the wheat field leading to the center
of town where his father works. He yelled back to
Henny and Lucky, “Hey, let’s cut through here.”

As they slashed through the wheat there was
movement to the left of them. They all suddenly
stopped to investigate. Once they pushed the wheat
out of the way they saw a baby flying squirrel. He was
just a little guy scrambling to find his family, but the
flying squirrels live nowhere near here. They are out
West near Pine Town. Chicken Tiny, Henny Lenny,
and Lucky Ducky took baby squirrel with them to
Chicken Tiny’s house.

“Dad, dad, dad, the sky is falling! It hit me in the
head,” shrieked Chicken Tiny.
“Tiny, what do you mean bud?”
“I mean what I said. The sky is falling!”
“Okay son, let’s go look outside and warn everyone,”
shouted dad!
