Ayşe Duru was standing in the classroom looking sad.

Suddenly, she went to her teacher and asked if they could go on a trip with her friends.

"Of course, we can go," her teacher replied. "But first, I have a surprise for you: it's story time."
She asked the children to go to the story corner.

The story was about a class that loved books and their adventures in the library. After the teacher finished reading the story, she announced that they would be going on a trip to the library the next day.

The next day, the children came to school feeling very excited. Their teacher reminded them of
some of the library rules. Eating and drinking (except water) was not allowed in the library building, reading rooms, or corridors. Speaking loudly was not allowed in the reading rooms or
corridors. The children were not allowed to damage the library's information resources or belongings.

With their teachers leading them, the children boarded the bus carefully, which would take them to the library.

When they arrived at the library, the children were very excited. They got off the bus one by one and made their way to the library.

The librarian greeted the children at the door, gave them information about the library, and told them
they could ask any questions they had.

The children, along with their teacher and the librarian, entered the library through a door shaped like a book.

Ayşe Duru and her friends were amazed when they saw the colorful tables and a variety of books on the large shelves.

Seeing so many different books together excited them.

Without wasting any time, they began to examine the books, following
the library rules.

Ali was drawn to a book with a lion on the cover.

When he opened the book, he saw real pictures of lions and their cubs taken in the forest. It was as if they were all there with him.

He looked at each page with curious eyes. Ali was lost in the pictures, walking through the forest with the lion and her cubs. The lion introduced Ali to her cubs.

The lioness asked Ali to name her cub, and he named him "Fluffy" because of his magnificent fur.

Ali was lost in his thoughts when he heard Ayşe Duru's voice.

His classmates had forgotten the library rules and were making noise, laughing and moving books around.

The librarian disciplined the classmates and reminded them about the library rules.

The students were very excited to have so many books in the library. The librarian showed the students the oldest book. The students were even more surprised.

One student found a book that had no letters, only raised dots. The librarian explained that this book is intended for children who cannot see and that it is written in braille.

Another girl found a book on the shelf that was smaller than a matchbox. And the children could not be surprised by the variety of books in the library.

Books are windows to the world for children's emotional, spiritual, cognitive and social development. Books should be a part of the child's life from infancy. The variety and richness of the stimuli offered to the baby from birth plays a very important role in the mental development of the baby and the acquisition of new experiences and skills. Children who are introduced to books at an early age will develop their language skills and vocabulary more quickly than their peers. The book develops the child's imagination, creativity and problem solving skills. They can understand the difference of good and bad from books. Books form the bridge between reality and imagination. Children gain the ability to understand other people's lives, their behaviour and feelings in the face of events and problem solving skills.
