So here I am in detention with my best friend Simon
Malark, oh sorry I forgot to introduce myself my name is
Peter Solemor I was born in California and moved to Florida
I was 6. I am 13 now and go to Ronald Parker Middle
school and I am in grade 7, I only have one friend his name
is Simon Malark. He doesn't talk much but he will talk to me
occasionally. At our school there are so called groups, we're
in the "Loner group", every one wants to be in the "Popular
group" but there's one problem their "Leader" Jeffery
Starward is super mean and only lets his friends in, and
that's when our adventure begins.Simon and I were getting
really board with just the two of us, we were thinking of any
other groups we could join we thought long and hard but
couldn't think of anything until the 2nd day of thinking.
Simon thought of the impossible, trying to join the popular
group.

This is detention.
I am Peter and my friend is Simon

I told him he way crazy but then i thought about it, we
might just be able to do it. The next day me and Simon
were walking to our next class when we passed Jeffery, of
course he was with all his friends but some how we got to
ask him a question. Before we could ask him a question he
said "What do you want loners" I saw Simon clench his fist
but I gave him a look to calm down, then I asked to join
the "Popular" group. Right then he looked around the halls
checking for anyone then he leaned towards us and
whispered "Meet me in the cafeteria at 1:23 today!" yelled
"But that's during class!" Jeffery just turned and went
down the hallway, at the end of the hallway he yelled "Be
there".Right then a teacher came out and yelled "WHY
AREN'T YOU IN CLASS!", he started walking towards us,
we looked at each other and ran.

"What do you want loners."

The rest of the day I watched the clock and waited
for 1:23, I asked my teacher Mr.Barwood if I could go to
the washroom at 1:21. As soon as I got out I saw Simon
getting out too. We ran to the cafeteria and saw Jeffery
standing there, he walked towards us , when he got to
us he said "To join the popular group you need to get
something for me." Simon said quickly "Yea anything"
then Jeffery said "I'll give you till tomorrow to decide to
steal the Platinum baseball card of Babe Ruth from Toys
for Life." Me and Simon were in shock but when I was
going to say something to Jeffery he had already walked
away, so we went to class thinking about it. I thought it
was a bad idea but Simon convinced me by saying "It
will be good for the long run." The next day we told
Jeffery that were in, he said "You have 5 days to get it,
your time starts now."

May I go to the bathroom?
Mr. Barwood

The next 4 days after school me and Simon went to
Toys for Life everyday to check out the vents, security
cameras, exits, the card (placed in a display case). We
had to make do with the materials bungee cords, dog
harnesses, ropes, black clothes, and fishhooks. On the
fifth day (saturday) we went to the store at 6:00 pm, we
were extremely ready for this, we spent hours figuring
out every detail. A couple minutes before, we went in as
customers but we sneaked into the control room and cut
the wires for the security cameras. When everyone left
and the store closed we started our plan, we climbed to
the vents and went to the vent gate right over the card
and set up the ropes.

Lets do this!
We waited about 10 minutes and then we attached
the ropes to me and I got lowered. I took the glass
covering off with my gloves and placed it beside the
card, then I grabbed the card and slipped it into my
pocket. Then I made a mistake when I grabbed the
glass and put it back into place, I put it on wrong and
it triggered an alarm, i wanted to run away but I was
stuck in mid air. I turned to give the signal to pull me
up but Simon was already pulling me up. I got in the
vent as soon as the guards came. We looked at each
other with a scared/happy look, we started crawling
through the vents but they started creaking so we
went to the nearest opening and jumped down.
Luckily it was in the stuffed animal aisle.
