It was the first day of school, and for 

the first time in two weeks Vanessa and 

Linda saw each other. “LINDAAAA!!!!!!” 

Vanessa screamed. Vanessa was always 

known as the loudest girl in the school 

since Kindergarten.

DINGGGGG!!!!!!! the bell rang 

and it was time for class. “Look 

who’s in our class again this year” 

whispered Linda. It’s 

Andyyyyy!!!!!!!! shouted Vanessa. 

Vanessa always liked Andy but no 

one knew who Andy liked. 

Everyone looked back at Vanessa 

and started laughing. For the rest 

of the day Vanessa did not say a 

word.

They live right next to each 

other and by just looking out of 

the window they could see 

each others room. They liked 

calling each other roommates.

It was 6 in the evening and the sun was 

setting, Linda and Vanessa always finished 

their homework or is it that Linda always 

finished her work and Vanessa copied it. After 

they finished Linda would go home and then 

open her windows so they can talk about how 

their day went. They started talking about 

Andy and they pinky sweared that they would 

never like the same boy and that they weren't 

going to let a boy mess up their friendship. All 

that was about to change the next day.

The next day in class, Ms. Honore 

assigned seats and Linda was sitting 

next to Andy. "Hi, do you have a pencil 

I can use?" Andy asked. "I have a pencil 

but if you don't know my name then 

you can't use it" Linda responded. 

"You’re name is Linda, everyone knows 

who you are. Your really cute". As Linda 

blushed she gave him the pencil.

Dinggggg!!!! School was over and it was time to 

go. On the way home Linda was very quiet because 

ever since Andy called her cute, she has not been 

able to stop thinking about him. She did not tell 

Vanessa about it because she knew that Vanessa 

liked him. "You're really lucky you're sitting next to 

Andy" shouted Vanessa. "I... Not... I don't want to 

sit next to him" stuttering said Linda. "Why not?" 

Asked Vanessa. "He is really annoying" deep down 

inside Linda knew that she loved sitting next to him 

and she didn't want Vanessa getting mad at her. 

*they were in front of Vanessa's house* I think I'm 

sick I'm going to go home today said Linda.

At 6 o'clock Vanessa was 

looking out her window and 

Linda was not there.

 The next day in class, Linda called Andy ugly and 

Andy asked her if she really thought that he was 

really ugly and she said that she was playing that 

he’s really cute. Andy asked her if she liked him 

and she didn’t answer. Dinggggggg!!!! It was lunch 

time. When they got back in class Andy asked her 

“Do you want to be my girlfriend?” surprisingly 

Linda said yes. For the rest of class Linda was 

thinking about how she’s going to tell Vanessa 

about the news.
