There was once three friends. One was a cat
named Tank. He was the sound one of the
bunch. He was nicknamed Tank because he
didn't let other people's thoughts get inside of
his head to influence him for wrong. He
wasn't the smartest or most athletic, although
he was known for listening to wiser ones of
the neighborhood.

Then there was his cousin, Dexter. Short for
Poindexter, because he was too smart for his
own good. He wore glasses and was somewhat
nerdy, although he didn't seem to think so.
Then there was Dunce, their squirrel friend. He
was the most athletic out of the bunch. He was
never the sharpest tool in the shed though,
hence his name.

The three friends lived in a small city named
Westland. It was in an urban neighborhood
where the most diverse animals lived.

Everyone in the neighborhood had seemed to
be enjoying this sunny day. Just like everyone
else, the three were playing outside. They
played a game together to see who could climb
the tree the fastest. Of course Dunce won as
usual. He was always the fastest climber of the
three of them.

The next game they played was catch. They
wanted to see who could throw the ball the
furthest. As they were playing, Dunce tossed
the cone too far and it went onto the dog's
property. The three were frightened to get it.

Suddenly two puppies came out to retrieve the
ball. The puppies started to head there way.
"Everyone knew what dogs were known for. Of
course these dogs could have been different.
Although, at the same time, they could not
have been," Tank thought to himself. They
were both female pups. So as they came to
return the ball, Dunce ran up to thank them
and introduce himself. The puppies seemed so
nice. They were both cute and seemed like
great animals to be around. The other two
introduced themselves to the puppies briefly.

Shortly after their conversation, Dexter and
Dunce had become new friends with the two
puppies. Tank was a little apprehensive about
Dunce and Dexter's new friends. After all, his
father had told him not to trust dogs no matter
what. Tank soon went home whole Dunce and
Dexter played catch with their new friends.
