Felicity, thank you for reminding me to prackity practise.

Poppy's favourite cuddle toy, Pinky-Bear, is just little.
But Poppy is quite big.

Poppy can do so many things now that she's not a baby anymore.
When she was a baby, she couldn't speak. All she could say was 'ga ga goo'. Now Poppy can say clever things like 'Mummy, can I please ride on your back?' and 'Daddy, your hair looks funny!'

Now that she is much bigger, she can do all those things and many more things as well.
But sometimes Poppy really wants to be able to do so much more.
When Poppy was a baby, she wasn't able to whisk the eggs, help carry the shopping inside, wash herself or balance on one leg.

One day, Poppy and her daddy were drawing pictures.
They were drawing a lovely picture of a house with lots of windows and a shiny, red door and flowers outside in the garden when...

"My window isn't good," said Poppy in her grumpy voice.
"It's a lovely window," said Daddy. But Poppy knew that her window was not as good as Daddy's window and that made her feel angry.
"I can't draw a window as good as yours," moaned Poppy.

"Poppy," said Daddy. "You're quite a big girl, but you're still a little bit little. That means you haven't had much time to practise drawing windows. It takes a lot of practise to draw the best windows."
"Come on, let's keep prackity practising. It sure is fun drawing with you."

Poppy picked up her pencil and drew another window. It wasn't as good as Daddy's window but it certainly was a bit better than her other one.
"Look Daddy! I'm getting better at drawing," announced Poppy feeling very proud of herself.
Daddy winked at her, "Well done for prackity practising, my clever little Poppy."

Later that afternoon, when Poppy was dressing her baby, she put on Baby's vest. But when she tried to put her nappy on, everything got tangled.
I can't put Baby's nappy on!" yelled Poppy.
"Mummy!" yelled Poppy, crying. "I can't do it!"
