"Throw him in the dungeon!" the king boomed.
"Why?" one of the servants panicked. "Because he
bothers me!" the king boomed even louder. (Carlos
was a boy who was always being bullied by the king.)
The servant dragged Carlos into the dungeon.
For the next few weeks, Carlos was trapped in a large,
dark dungeon cell. Then one day, one of Carlos'
friends came to free him. "Joe!" Carlos said, surprised
that his friend came to save him. "Shhh!" said Joe.
"You wouldn't want the mean king to hear you!" "Oh,
sorry!" said Carlos, "But can you get me out of here?"
"Sure!" said Joe, "But how?"

Suddenly, a servant of the king appeared. "I'll get you out of
here!" he said. "Why?" asked Carlos. "I mean, aren't you one
of the king's men?" "No," said the servant, "I was actually the
REAL king, before Fred stole my throne. You might know him
as King Fred."
Flashback time: Once there was a king named Rubius. He was
a good king. Rubius and Fred were friends at one time. But
when Rubius became king, Fred became very jealous. That is
when he stole Rubius' place.
"But why is he so mean to ME?" asked Carlos. "That, I do not
know," said Rubius.

Three weeks later, Carlos and his other friend, Jenny,
were at Joe's house when, all of a sudden, a towns
person stormed in. "Carlos!" he shouted. "You are the
king!" "OH-NO, HE'S NOT!" Fred boomed. "I'll take
THAT!" another towns person said as he swiped the
crown off of Fred's head and put it on Carlos. "What?
Wait! HOW DARE YOU!" Carlos punched Fred in the face
before he could finish speaking. "Why is Carlos -- of all
people -- the king?" asked Fred. "Because he is kind,"
said one of the townspeople.

Three days later, Fred went crazy. He was beyond angry that
Carlos was king. He started torturing the city. Carlos, Joe, and
Jenny had to hide in the woods to survive. Then, one day, the
three kids encountered a scaly, green creature. "What are
you?" asked Carlos. "I'm a woods troll." "What's that?" asked
Joe. "The king of the woods," the woods troll said. "Hey! I'm a
king too!" said Carlos. "Really? You look young for a king!"
said the woods troll. "I'm still a kid, but I'm a king too. We're
hiding from the ex-king. He wants to take over the world!"
Suddenly, a throne came flying through the air. The woods
troll, Carlos, Joe, and Jenny ran through the forest. It was
then that Carlos realized the person sitting on the throne was
ex-king Fred!
