I opened my eyes. I looked around and saw my brothers and sisters running all over the place. My mom was sitting in the middle, looking at all my siblings. She nuzzled my head, Then this girl walked by.  Everybody called her Katy.

But then, something weird happened. More kids were here and they were  taking my siblings! And then, I was alone. My mom was gone, and so were my siblings. It was now night time. Katy took me inside her room. "We'll find you a forever home soon," Katy said.

The next day, Katy took me outside. Then, I saw a picnic basket. I didn't know what it was so I decided to explore it. I climbed in and stayed in for a while. Later at 3:00 A different girl came. She picked up the basket and took me with her.

There it is!

I fell asleep. When I woke up I was in a new house. Then, this girl started looking at me. "A PUPPY!!!" she squealed. "Mom! I found a PUPPY!!!" the girl yelled again. "Really Amy?" The older woman said. "Check the tag for an owner sweetheart!" said the older woman. "Okay Mom!" the girl yelled.

The girl named Amy dialed the number on my tag. "Hello?" the voice said. "Hi! My name's Amy. I'm just calling because I found your dog and it's at my house right now," Amy replied. "Oh good you found Lily! You can come here tomorrow," the voice said back. "I'm at the dog shelter downtown." The voice hung up. Then, we went to bed.

The next morning Amy and I got up and went to the dog shelter. When we got there, I saw Katy! I ran to her and bounced all over her. "Thanks for delivering Lily," Katy said. "No problem," Amy replied. But then I didn't want her to leave, so I ran after her.

Katy stared. "You know we're having an adoption," Katy said. "Really?!" Amy exclaimed. "Can I adopt her?" Amy asked. "Of course!" Katy replied. After the paper work was done, I left with Amy.

As Amy was walking along the street, something caught her eye. It was a poster for a dog show! "Look Lily!" Amy yelled. "A dog show! WE should enter. What do you think?" I let out a big ruff in agreement.
