Malaya was not like any ordinary ten year old who dreamed of being a princess. She always wanted to be a pirate like she saw in her favorite movies. One day her family planned a trip to Crabby Island for their last trip of summer vacation. Malaya knew she was destined to see real pirates on that island and she was very excited! 

“Mom! You know Crabby Island is where all real pirates live!” Malaya shouted happily to her mother. “Yes dear, but i’m not sure we will see them, we are going to the beach.” her mother said. 

I cant wait to go to Crabby Island!

        The next morning Malaya, Ezra (her little brother), mom, and dad arrived to Crabby Island. 

“ Wow the flight was so much faster than I expected.” Her mom said. 

“Let’s go to the beach!” Ezra and Malaya both yelled to their parents with so much joy. Before the family could go to the beach they had to leave the airport and drop off all of their belongings at the hotel. 

“First let’s drop off all our suitcases and get dressed to go before we head out.” Malaya’s dad said to both children. The family headed their way to their hotel and Malaya was so excited.

    As the family got to their hotel they noticed the most beautiful view they have ever seen. 

“Wow this view is amazing” Malaya said with her eyes memorized at the pretty ocean blue water. They quickly unpacked and was ready to begin their family vacation. 

“ Before we head out let’s all make sure to put our sunblock on” Mother reminded the family. Once they all had their sunscreen on they all headed out the door for their next adventure to the beach. 

    As they got to the beach, Malaya quickly noticed a big pirates ship docked right on the side of the island.

“Mom look a ship with real pirates just like the ones I seen on the movies back at home!” Malaya said so excitedly.  

    As the ship pulled closer Malaya begged her mom to let her go and check it out. 

Well, alright but be careful and remember to come back before dark.

Mom can I please go see the ship?!

        As Malaya began to walk towards the ship she noticed three pirates aboard. Before she could even step foot onto the ship one of the pirates yelled “Arg! Who goes there get away from me ship!” 

At first the loud frightening voice scared Malaya but she still began to walk towards the boat. As she got closer to the pirates she introduced herself, “Hi my name is Malaya and I want to be a pirate just like” but before she could finish her sentence she was rudely interrupted. “I don't care go away this gold ain’t for you.” Malaya was extremely sad she always dreamed of being a pirate but the dream seemed to be crushed by the pirates rude actions. 

    Walking away sadly Malaya saw another pirate ship arrive to the same dock where the mean pirates were. She stopped walking and looked back to see what was happening.  She noticed the other boat only had one pirate and an empty chest. She immediately knew what was happening. The mean pirates were going to get their gold stolen!
