“Stella! Harry! Come help me unpack,” my mum called out Harry and I, from the campsite which I have grown to love
“Coming mummy,” I said as Harry and I ran towards her.

“Who’s up for an adventure?” daddy asked as he joined us at the
picnic.
“Where are we going Daddy?” harry asked with his mouth half full.
“We are going for a walk in the woods” Daddy said as Harry and I
gleamed with joy.
“Yay!” we exclaimed as we all finished our food quickly.

“It’s so pretty!! “ I gushed as we started walking down the little
pathway.
“Daddy! This is so girlie, I thought we were going on an
adventure, not looking for fairies,” Harry’s complaints echoed
through the forest
“But Harry we are on an adventure, we are taking care of Stella
and mummy, that’s a big responsibility. Do you think you can
handle that big man?” Daddy asked as Harry nodded proudly.

“I want to catch butterflies” I exclaimed as little colourful
insects flew everywhere around me.
“Be careful honey, don’t go too far” mummy said as she
watched Harry and I chase butterflies all around the little
paddock.

This one beautiful butterfly caught my eye. It had beautiful
wings with different colours and patterns on it. I followed it as
it flew freely deeper into the forest.
Before I knew it I was Lost
“Mummy! Daddy!” I yelled as I tried to find any trace of my
family.
But they were know where to be found

Suddenly I heard the bushes nearby moving.
I was going to scream “Monster!” when a little boy probably
my age or a bit older came out of the bush.

“You scared me!” I exclaimed as he got closer.
“I’m sorry, my name is Amaroo. What’s yours?”
“Hi I’m Stella” I said shyly as I fidgeted with my hair.

“What are you doing here, by yourself Stella?” he asked as he
threw curious glances at me.
“I was walking through the woods when I lost my mummy,
daddy and Harry. I don’t know where they are.” I sobbed as
tears freely streamed down face.
“Please don’t cry. How about this? If you stop crying I will give
you one of my delicious berries”Amaroo said as he extended
his hands to reveal some delicious berries.
`

As I stuffed my face with the berries, I heard the echoing of
chant, coming from deep in the forest.
“What’s that noise?” I squeaked tugging his arm.
“Oh that’s just my family; we are having a celebration for my
sister’s 13th birthday. Do you want to come and see?” Amaroo
offered kindly
“Yes please!” I exclaimed jumping up and down with
excitement

As we travelled deeper into the forest, the sound became
clearer, until we reached an opening where there was a large
group of people celebrating.
They were covered in body paint, and were wearing different
clothes to what Harry and I usually wear.
Amaroo lead me over to three people that looked similar to
him.
