Once a year, me and my siblings decide
to visit one country, that we particularly
admire. This year, my brother chose
Australia, a dry arid continent which is on
the other side of the world. My brother
said that Australia has a unique species
of animals, plants and an interesting
climate making it very peculiar and
special.

The plane ride to Australia was fairly
long as it is located between the South
Pacific and Indian Ocean, in the
Southern hemisphere. When we arrived,
it was mid summer and we could feel the
scorching sun against our backs.
Did you Know- Australia is the sixth
largest country in the world

Its been one day since our stay and
there are so many things to do.
Australia is so big, and my brother
told me it was bigger than many other
countries such as India and New-
Zealand. We've visited several beaches
and iconic area's such as the Harbour
bridge or the Opera house.
Did you know-
The Opera house cost $102 million dollars
to build.

Today my brother took me to some of
Australia's largest landforms, one of which was
the Great Diving range. The landforms in
Australia are very unique as they have formed
over millions of years. Some the interesting
landforms are Uluru, The Great Barrier reef,
The bungle bungle and the three sisters, all of
which we visited.
Did you know
Uluru is the aboriginal term for Ayers
Rock

The aboriginal history behind Australia is very
fascinating. The land is very important to the
indigenous people and the dream time stories
are particularly interesting. The land means
ownership to the aboriginal people and is
something they value very closely.
Did you know
The aboriginals believe that a long time ago,
their ancestors used to fight, and because of
the battles, lakes, rivers, hills and mountains
began to form

There are SO many things to do in
Australia, and so many interesting places.
Some of my favourite were the coastal
beaches, the Great Barrier Reef, Taronga
Zoo and the twelve apostles.
Did you Know
The great Barrier reef is the worlds largest
reef system.

Its been a whole week since we arrived and the
climate is getting hotter. Unlike other countries,
the season's are very different according to each
month, with Christmas being very hot. The
northern part of Australia is much hotter, as this is
where the outbacks lie. Whilst the southern parts
are much cooler with a continuous breeze coming
from Antarctica.
Did you Know
Australia is closer to the equator than any
part of the USA.
