Dave the fisherman drove to his bait
and fish store on Ocean Pier. He got out
of his red pickup truck and went into the
front entrance of the pier. He then walked
to his store and opened for the day.

Dave turned on the radio, and began to
stack bait on shelves. Around noon he
heard a special announcement on the
radio. A huge white shark with rainbow
dots on its fin had been on the beach
getting close to people. The shark was
beginning to scare tourist away, and
there was a reward of 2,000 dollars for
whoever killed the shark

Dave was a good fisherman, knew the
area, and thought he would be able to
kill the shark. Dave sure could use the
money for a new fishing pole that he
wanted. So the next day he went on
search for the shark

When he arrived to the dock, Dave got
on his blue and red boat and steered it
towards shark feeding and nesting
grounds, where he knew that many
sharks were at. There was no sign of
the shark that he was looking for, so
Dave went further out into the ocean.

He arrived to a shark nesting area. Then
suddenly the waves began to get
bigger, and a huge thunder storm
began to pour down onto the small
boat. Dave lost control of the steering
wheel and tripped on a fishing net. He
tried to stand but he couldn't, his ankle
began to swell up and it was impossible
for Dave to stand.

The boat then tipped to the side and
caused Dave to fall off, and land in the
shark infested waters. Fortunately Dave
grabbed onto a piece of drift wood, that
kept him from drowning. He could only
paddle with his hands, and he needed
to get to his boat to call for help. The
waves had pushed Dave's boat further
away, and it was impossible for Dave to
reach it.

Every time Dave would try to paddle to
his boat the waves would push him back
to where he started. He floated in the
ocean, clutching the drift wood, and
waited to see if there was any sign of a
near by boat that would save him. After
what seemed like hours of waiting,
Dave began to think no one would come
to rescue him.
