Apples are so good to eat,

To have one is a special treat.

Red, green, yellow, too,

All of them are good for you!

"Buzz, buzz, buzz," said the bumblebee.

Here he comes, he's after me!

Oh no, he's not, for I can see, he's on his way to the apple tree!

The caterpillar creeps along the branch,

He climbs atop the tree.

He crawls around the leaf,

And all over me!

Dinosaurs lived long ago.

They were so big and strong, you know!  Sharp teeth and claws, long tails too,

Some that walked and some that flew.

Though they don't live anymore, we still adore the dinosaur!

An elephant is a huge creature.

His long, long trunk is his best feature.

He uses it to help him eat-peanuts, grass, and hay.

It also helps him take a bath,

Quick-Get out of the way!

Left then right,

To and fro,

They always know,

On my guitar I can strum,

Play a note, sing and hum.

Hippos are huge!

They eat tons of grass.

What would we do if one came to our class?

Or... send him away, if he laid on the floor?

The lion roams on the plain.  

Swinging his tail, and tossing his mane.

Hunting for food, by stalking his prey.

He has no time to run and play.

His walk is oh, so strong and proud.

And when he roars, he's very loud!

Monkeys swing.

Monkeys climb,

Monkeys jump from vine to vine.

The bannana he wants is up a tree.

Get it monkey,

For you and me!

A nest is a home, for a bird in a tree.  

She works hard to build it, where no one can see.

"Cheep, cheep," say the birds as they sit in their nest.

We love our nest,

Our nest is the best!

Oscar the octopus lives deep in the sea.

Moving about so wild and free.

Swimming and searching to find a good treat.

With his eight legs reaching for things he can eat.

Waddle, waddle, waddle from side to side, 
Penguins go a-walking, Slip, slip, slide, slide.
With a funny jump, The penguins dash, Down to the water
Splash! Splash! Splash! Splash!
Waddle from the water, With a rock n' roll.
Penguins go parading, On a wintry stroll!

A quilt is like a blanket, it keeps you nice and warm.

You pull it up around your chin, when your parents tuck you in.

Soft and cozy, colorful and bright.  

It keeps you feeling, safe at nighto

I know a little rabbit that goes

hop, hop, hop.

When I try to catch him, I say,

"Stop, stop, stop."

He often tries to hide from me,

jumping in his hole and out.

"Come back, Little Rabbit!" I shout!

A starfish is an animal,

 that lives in the sea.

It's skin may be smooth or prickly,

with his arms outstretched he glides,

Looking for a place to hide!

I have a teddy bear,

whose fur is soft and brown.

When I go to sleep at night,

he helps me settle down.

I take him everywhere I go,

My special friend,

I love him so!

I have a little umbrella.

It helps me to stay dry.

And on a very windy day,

it even helps me fly.

Open it. Close it. Open it. Close it.

What fun it can be!

Vegetables are good for you!

They make you strong and healthy too.

If you eat them everyday, "I feel so good!" is what you'll say.

Carrots, corn, string beans, too.

All of these are good for you!

A whale is a mammal, that lives in the sea.

No other animal is quite as big as he.

When he comes up for air,

water shoots out his spout.

So graceful, this giant jumping in and out.

X-rays are pictures of bones inside.

You can count them, none can hide!

X-rays let the doctors see,

If your bones are strong and healthy!

Milk helps your bones stay big and strong. Drink alot...

You can't go wrong.

My yo-yo can go up and down,

up and down,

It can spin all around!
